Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 Gene Level 100 is just the beginning

In an instant, a peculiar sensation, as if welling up from the depths of his soul, surged forth, and the world before his eyes became incredibly clear.

"This...this...is this my Golden Finger?" Jiang Hao was shocked, followed by boundless excitement.

"What does 'Human Dao Ultimate Cultivation Talent' mean? Has my talent changed now?"

Jiang Hao was incredibly excited; he wanted to test it immediately. He hurriedly pushed his wheelchair towards the desk.

There lay a basic Gene Law book, commonly known as the Gene Breathing Method.

This is a fundamental breathing method, almost everyone has a copy. Children need to Cultivate it from the age of six to help perfect their genes, from one to one hundred.

Then, they can attempt to break through their Gene Sequence and become a Gene Warrior.

Jiang Hao opened the book, which not only introduced the breathing technique but also contained various diagrams.

Jiang Hao merely glanced at it, familiarized himself, and immediately closed his eyes.

Cultivating requires single-minded focus. In just a moment, he settled down and began to Cultivate.

As he breathed, a completely new and different sensation from before suddenly swept through his entire body. With each breath, his body naturally relaxed.

His previous breathing was just breathing, but now, each breath felt like inhaling pure oxygen, bringing a distinct warm sensation that flowed through his mouth and into every part of his body.

This sensation continuously intensified. In just a few seconds, his body trembled slightly, and a beeping sound came from the watch on his right hand.

Jiang Hao couldn't help but open his eyes and look at his watch.

With just a glance, he almost teared up.

The number, which had barely increased for a year, now reached twenty, directly spanning eight Ranks.

"Perfecting...eight increments of genes..."

At this moment, the feeling of his suffering ending and seeing the light of day again almost made him cry tears of joy.

"Is this the Human Dao's ultimate Cultivation talent?"

Normally, children begin to Cultivate at six years old. Although it's only basic Cultivation, the genetic growth each year is very slow. Those with good talent might increase by ten points a year, while those with poor talent might only increase by two or three points a year.

In other words, in just a few breaths, he had reached a level that others would take one, or even several, years to achieve.

As Jiang Hao closed his eyes again, his consciousness re-entered a state of calm and stability. His breathing became very peaceful, rhythmically inhaling and exhaling the vast Qi between Heaven and Earth.

This vast Qi, in ancient times, was called Heaven and Earth Spiritual Qi.

Buzz...his body trembled slightly again. Jiang Hao clearly felt his state had improved, just like someone who had stayed up all night and then slept for over ten hours, feeling refreshed and invigorated.

He didn't open his eyes and continued to Cultivate. In the blink of an eye, an hour passed, and the sky had completely darkened.

The sound of insects chirping even came from the green belt downstairs. Moonlight streamed through the window, scattering into the room and falling upon Jiang Hao.

Finally, Jiang Hao opened his eyes and exhaled a mouthful of turbid Qi.

The turbid Qi flew out more than ten centimeters in the moonlight before completely dissipating.

Jiang Hao immediately looked at his watch with anticipation.

The watch screen was lit, clearly displaying a number that made his entire body tremble.

Sixty.

"Sixty points...sixty points...sixty points..."

Jiang Hao was so excited he almost shouted out loud.

What did sixty Gene points mean?

It meant that he no longer had to worry about becoming an ordinary citizen; he had even surpassed high-level citizens and directly become an elite citizen.

In terms of status, he was now on the same level as his elder brother.

"Elite citizen, haha...I, Jiang Hao, also have this day!" Jiang Hao was incredibly excited, forcing himself to calm down.

Only those who have suffered know how precious the current time is. He closed his eyes again and continued to delve deeper into his Cultivation state.

Time was passing bit by bit. In the blink of an eye, a ray of sunlight shone through the window.

Jiang Hao's body trembled, and his bones actually made crackling sounds.

"Hundred Rank..."

Jiang Hao's gaze shifted from the watch's reading. His entire spirit and demeanor had completely changed. A smile played on his lips, and his eyes held confidence.

"Hundred Rank Gene Rank, I... Jiang Hao, a privileged citizen..."

"Is this the Human Dao's ultimate Cultivation talent? This is only the first stage, so what about the second stage?"

Jiang Hao was excited internally, subtly clenching his fists. At this moment, a myriad of words could not contain the exhilaration in his heart.

Bang, bang, bang... Just then, there was a knock on the door.

"Hao'er! Are you up?" It was the voice of Mother Jiang, Li Yuelian.

Jiang Hao took a deep breath, calmed his excited heart, and then casually said, "Mom! I'm up."

"Hurry up, Mom has something to do this afternoon and probably can't stay with you for too long."

"Got it," Jiang Hao replied.

Because of his crippled legs, Mother Jiang would take Jiang Hao out for a stroll, visit parks, and talk with him every morning.

Jiang Hao quickly tidied up, grabbed a few things, and rolled his wheelchair downstairs.

Li Yuelian pushed Jiang Hao out of the residential area, encountering many acquaintances along the way who greeted them.

"Yue Lian is taking your youngest son out for a walk in the park!" A voice came from a woman roughly the same age as Mother Jiang, carrying a grocery bag.

This person was the wife of Old Man Lin next door, as Father Jiang would say.

Their son was also quite impressive, attending the same academy as Jiang Chen, which led to a sense of rivalry between the parents.

"Yes, just going for a walk!" Mother Jiang replied, glancing at the grocery bag. Seeing a beautifully wrapped box inside, she couldn't help but roll her eyes, but still feigned surprise and said, "Is this Gene Meat?"

"Oh, yes! Isn't my son trying to become a privileged citizen? I thought I'd buy him some Gene Meat to eat. He's been eating it for several days now. It's not expensive anyway, so I just buy a little every day."

"Is that so!" Mother Jiang chuckled, "That's a big deal! If he becomes a Gene Warrior in the future, that would be incredible! He'd immediately become a big shot in our community. In the future, when we see your son, we'll have to call him Lord Lin, won't we?"

"Nonsense. This Gene Meat, you know! It needs to be stewed properly to maximize its effect. I won't talk to you anymore!"

Saying that, she walked away with a smug look.

"What's there to be proud of? It's just Gene Meat! And eating it every day? With your family's conditions, hmph..." Mother Jiang huffed, clearly displeased.

Jiang Hao pretended not to hear.

But he silently clenched his fists.

Gene Hundred Rank was just a starting point. To truly transcend the mundane, completely change one's status and position, and be respected by others,

one needed to surpass Gene Hundred Rank and become a true Gene Warrior.
