After dodging Rebuchi's attack, a silver grimoire with a sword pattern flew out from Bai En's satchel, hovered in the air, and began flipping its pages.

Bai En reached into the grimoire and pulled out a pitch-black metal strip. "Creation Magic, Blade, 'Slayer'."

"Slayer" is directly constructed from magic, a kitchen tool used by chefs to cut and separate food. In terms of effect and ability, it might enhance the power of a slash.

The magic "Blade Tempering" is a spell that only reveals its full power after being tempered with magic for a long time, or forged with materials related to kitchenware.

Because he had only recently obtained the grimoire and it had not yet undergone magic tempering or material forging, the constructed blade "Slayer" was still in its initial stage, possessing no special abilities and being almost identical to an ordinary iron weapon.

Rebuchi looked at Bai En, who had pulled out the metal strip from the grimoire, with interest. "A weapon? Some kind of sword magic? It really doesn't suit my magic."

"The overflowing magic fluctuations aren't strong, even a bit... weak. I could take care of a guy like this with one blow."

"Killing?" Rebuchi waved his palm, and several sharp chains emerged from the magic space behind him.

"Uncle isn't a friendly Magic Knight anymore; he's a thief, a thief, you understand?"

A strong murderous intent emanated from his fierce face.

"Chain Magic, Dance of the Chain Snakes."

Several chains, condensed from the magic space, shot out rapidly. They came from all directions, twisting and dancing like a swarm of snakes biting forward, their sharp points gleaming ominously like venomous fangs!

The dense chains sealed off every corner, making escape impossible!

Yuno couldn't help but worry about Bai En.

"Quick, dodge!"

Bai En quickly observed the chains attacking from the air with his eyes. When the coiling chains straightened and struck like whips, he moved.

The sound of a drawn blade was like autumn water.

"Water Breathing, Seventh Form, Drop Ripple Thrust."

The drawn straight blade glowed with an unusual color, as if wrapped in a blue stream of water, and water sprayed at the tip of the sword, stirring up a hint of white snow.

The metal strip's sheath fell to the ground.

Subtle ripples, like stones falling into water, vaguely splashed in the air.

Bai En, surrounded by chains, vanished instantly from his spot. When his figure reappeared, he was already in front of Rebuchi, his straight blade and arm rigid as a spear, thrusting out. Wind waves rippled like water.

Rebuchi was not a minor character who had just obtained a grimoire; even in his decline, he had once been a member of the Magic Knights. The moment the tip of the long blade was about to strike him, layers of chains wrapped around his body.

A metallic clang sounded.

The impact from the straight thrust of the long blade exploded forward, and Rebuchi retreated repeatedly.

"Water magic? No, if it's water magic, then what was that weapon pulled from the grimoire just now? And..."

Because of his Chain Magic, Rebuchi's perception of magic was quite good, not inferior to ordinary nobles or royalty, and he could even rank highly among the Magic Knights.

He clearly sensed some kind of "sharp" thing wrapped around the strange weapon that guy was holding, but it was very thin, like a spider silk.

Rebuchi looked at his chest; the wrapping chains were broken, with very clean cuts. Only one layer remained of the several protective chains, almost completely pierced through.

"The defensive chains almost failed to protect me. Although it was an instantaneous reaction and I didn't use my full power, such an attack shouldn't be something a guy who just got a grimoire could do."

"His magic and his dashing speed are both quite strange. In this situation... I should retreat quickly after getting the four-leaf grimoire."

Rebuchi pondered, and the grimoire hovering beside him began to flip rapidly.

A noisy figure suddenly burst in, "Bai En, I'm here to help you!"

The guy running and kicking up dust was Asta. He observed the scene, his gaze finally settling on the four-leaf grimoire in Rebuchi's left hand.

"You thief, quickly return Yuno's grimoire to him!"

"Another one, huh." Rebuchi sighed softly. "They keep coming, one after another... but... I remember that shouting guy didn't get a grimoire, did he...?"

Without any hesitation, he used his grimoire to cast his magic, pushing its power to the highest level he could achieve at that moment!

"Chain Magic, Dance of the Chain Snakes!"

A number of chains far exceeding those that attacked Bai En just now condensed and shot towards Asta with lightning speed, their whistling creating bursts of booming sounds!

"Run, Asta!" Yuno, bound by chains, shouted loudly.

The chilling light emanating from the tips of the chains magnified in Asta's eyes. Using his powerful body, honed by his usual training, he continuously rolled to dodge two chains.

The third chain grazed past him.

But when the fourth chain thrust directly at his face, this attack was unavoidable!

"Such powerful magic... Is this what Mages outside the village are like?"

Asta suddenly understood a truth: "Just training my body... it's completely insufficient..."

"I'm going to die! I'm going to die!"

The danger of death wildly surged through his mind, but his body could no longer react!

A gust of wind swept past, and a pool of blue water, like a half-moon, flowed before Asta's eyes. Bai En swung Slayer, cutting off the chain that was directly attacking Asta's face.

Then, a strong hand grabbed Asta's waist and threw him out.

"Ow, ow, ow..."

Asta, who had been rolling on the ground, stopped when he crashed next to Yuno. He rubbed his aching head and looked forward. A faint white light surged around Bai En, and with each swing of his weapon, the blue stream of water would swirl up.

Sparks of collision vaguely flickered in the spray of water.

Every swiftly thrusting chain was steadily met by Bai En.

"So amazing."

"Water Breathing, Third Form, Flowing Dance." The dancing blade shadows, accompanied by Bai En's figure, weaved through the chains, like an omnipresent surge of water.

Slayer's blade severed the last chain.

Bai En raised his blade, took a step, and his voice was low: "Water Breathing, Fourth Form, Striking Tide!"

The blade light was like a tide, and his figure flowed like water.

Rebuchi watched the long blade coming towards him, gritted his teeth, and his grimoire flipped: "Chain Magic, Heavy Chains of Fortification!"

The condensed chains once again wrapped around his body. He allowed Bai En's blade light to strike him. The blooming tide ripped open layers of chains, dyeing his chest red!

Rebuchi, wounded by the blade, saw the crimson blood and a fierce glint surged in his eyes!

He completely ignored Bai En, waving his hand to launch a terrifying attack towards Asta and Yuno: "Chain Magic, Dance of the Chain Snakes!"

Two choices: either deal with me now, or save your companions.

As Bai En took his first step back, Rebuchi had already turned to prepare his escape. Their figures intertwined, and a smile spread across his lips. Little brats are still little brats!

The sky-filling chains suddenly moved. Asta looked at the chilling light striking him and Yuno, falling into self-doubt. "The chains are coming again. This time, I probably can't dodge them..."

"Damn it!"

"Why don't I have a grimoire? Why can't I use magic?"

"Yuno, who got the four-leaf grimoire... Bai En, who can fight Mages from outside the village back and forth... Why am I the only one who can't do anything? And I always drag people down!"

"Damn it, damn it, damn it..."

"Yuno and Bai En must have never considered me a rival, after all, I've always been the least talented one, unable to even use magic..."

"Asta!"

Bai En's shout caught Asta's attention. That guy's face always had a faint smile, though most of the time it was a mischievous one. But this time... why did his smile seem to convey a sense of confidence?

Like sunlight piercing through tree shade, warm but not scorching.

In his line of sight, Bai En did not run towards Yuno and Asta again. He suddenly turned and slashed at Rebuchi!

Asta, who had been called, was confused. "What does he mean?"

"Does he believe I can handle it? But I can't even use magic..."

"You... aren't you going to become the Wizard King, Asta?"

"That's right, I'm going to become the Wizard King!"

Asta got up from the ground, facing the incoming sharp-tipped chains. "I won't give up!"

A black and red line etched out from the broken corner of the grimoire Tower. The black and red light began to devour the surrounding colors, and an eerie atmosphere slowly rose.

A grimoire radiating a blood-red light floated beside Asta. The black and red Anti-Magic power, like surging lightning, began to obliterate the surrounding magic.

The dancing chains dissipated and scattered like scraps of paper...
