Chapter 1 - The Riddler, Get Out of Gotham City!

On April 19th, the Suzuki Group will host a 60th anniversary boat party aboard the Queen Celestiabe. The Riddler will descend from the sky, just as the riddle foretold, and steal the gems.

Fortunately, the Riddler's nemesis, Batman, will also be in attendance today.

"Excuse me, sir, Mrs. Suzuki has mandated formal attire for this party..."

Oh, it seems the great Batman has run into a minor problem.

"Uh, what constitutes formal attire?"

A plainly dressed young man asked helplessly.

His name is Chen En, a time traveler, the system's chosen Batman, and an ordinary citizen of Mihua.

Originally, according to the system, he would have traveled to Gotham City, become billionaire Bruce Wayne, and under the system's guidance, become Batman. But something went wrong.

He traveled to the wrong world.

This is Mihua, not Gotham.

He's not billionaire Bruce Wayne, but Chen En, an ordinary citizen who obtained language proficiency and citizenship certificates through the system's newbie gift package.

"Well, at least wear a tie..."

The waiter considered his words, then said as politely as possible.

"Oh, I have a tie. Just get me some coffee, thank you."

Chen En calmly pulled his tie from his pocket, fastened it around his collar, and accepted the cup of coffee from the waiter's hand.

Under the waiter's silent gaze, Chen En walked onto the deck of the Queen Serissabeth with a normal expression and soon disappeared from view.

"What a strange man..." the waiter muttered.

But his attention was quickly drawn to the arrival of the renowned detective, Mouri Kogoro, and his daughter, Mouri Ran.

The waiter hurried forward to greet them, unaware that the strange man who had entered earlier was now standing at the edge of the deck, observing the situation.

"Kaito Kid will first enter the Queen Serissabeth as Suzuki Shiro, then assume the identity of Mouri Ran to approach Suzuki Tomoko and steal the Black Star..."

"The best way to complete the mission and claim the reward is to speak to Kaito Kid after Mouri Ran is replaced."

Chen En glanced around, seeing no one approaching, and then took a sip of his coffee.

Suddenly, a warm current flowed through his body, making him feel more energetic. This was the last item in his three-piece starter pack.

An extraordinary item.

Drinking the coffee from the coffee cup restores physical strength and mental energy. Once a day, consuming it completely grants one minute of Batman's combat and thinking abilities. Any consumption of the coffee inside will automatically refill to full capacity after one minute.

But there is a drawback...

[Note: Hey, you want to know my true identity? I'm Batman!]

Chen En realized this the hard way after a while. While this feature is active, the first line of dialogue will automatically trigger when another woman appears nearby.

Moreover, if someone asked him "Why do you know this?" or "Why do you do this?", he would automatically answer "I am Batman."

If this happened in Gotham City, Chen En would definitely be attending his own funeral given his physical condition, but fortunately, he didn't have to worry about anything in Beika Town.

Because this world has Batman comics.

"The system says this coffee cup is a prop from a famous Batman... but what Batman would say that to a beautiful woman?"

Chen En muttered quietly, taking another sip of coffee. With a flick of his finger, he opened the system's task interface and reconfirmed the mission.

[Mission: Riddler Get Out of Gotham City!]

[The evil Riddler has once again abandoned his tormenting riddles and embarked on a new, sinister plan. As Batman, it's your duty to solve all his riddles and stop his evil plans!]

[Reward: Batman's six-slot storage belt, access to the system store!]

[Note: Riddler Out!]

When Chen En first saw the Riddler, he thought he'd been transported to some bizarre, dark universe.

Just as he was on guard for a moment, he suddenly realized the mission trigger seemed to be a newspaper headline, so he took a look at the contents.

A preview letter from Kaito Kid!

So the "Riddler" in the mission refers to Kaito Kid! This city, saturated with Japanese culture, is truly "Beika Town," not "Gotham City"!

Although Chen En felt it was wrong to call Kaito Kid the Riddler, upon closer reflection, there was nothing wrong with it. After all, Kaito Kid did send riddles every day—it was a well-deserved nickname.

But now that he knew the Riddler was Kaito Kid, he naturally had to take action.

Dealing with the Riddler was risky, but dealing with Kaito Kid wasn't. Besides, this Kaito Kid operation was doomed to failure.

He simply had to find Kaito Kid, explain the solution to the April Fool's Day riddle, and wait for Kaito Kid to be scared by Conan's football and jump into the sea for his life.

Simple and easy.

Furthermore, this was a great opportunity to connect with Conan and, with his help, complete "Daily Security Missions in Gotham City" to earn points.

Points could then be used to purchase new items in the system mall once it was unlocked, earning more money and making it easier to survive in Beika Town. It was a win-win situation.

"For my own happiness, Kaito Kid, I'm sorry to give you a hard time this time," Chen En whispered.

At that moment, Kaito Kid, disguised as Suzuki Shiro and on his way to the Queen Serissabeth, felt a chill run down his spine. His sixth sense told him something was wrong.

He frowned, puzzled.

"Strange! I should be fully prepared, so why do I feel so uneasy?"

Kuroba Kaito, acting as Kaito Kid, suddenly recalled a conversation he had with Koizumi Hongko before school—she always claimed to have magical powers.

Hongko, always mystical, once again stated that her predictions were not favorable to Kaito Kid, saying that if Kaito Kid continued his actions, Batman would strike hard.

Hongko's predictions were already outrageous, and now that they involved Batman, it seemed she had run out of ideas and started making things up.

What Batman? Could Batman actually pop out of a comic book and punch me?

"Last time they talked about the Demon of Light, and now they're talking about Batman. Has their imagination degenerated to the point where they're resorting to pre-made fantasy characters? What era is this, and they're still spouting this nonsense..."

Kuroba Kaito stared at the road ahead.

He was one of the world's top magicians, and had seen countless stunts that claimed to be magic but were actually just tricks and psychological techniques in disguise. Therefore, he had no faith in these so-called magical prophecies!

"If Batman really exists, then let him jump out of the comics and punch me."
