Viona's POV
My hand settled at the back of his head, my fingers tangling lightly through his curly brown hair as I brushed it slowly.
I gave him a few seconds, then pressed a light kiss to his lips, my mouth still stretched in a wide smile, before I pulled away.
My smile broke into soft laughter because I couldn't hold back how giddy and relieved I felt when I looked into Rafael's eyes.
Was I really in love with him?
"Did you laugh like this too when giving birth?" His brows furrowed, genuinely curious.
"I wish," I said. "I read in a book that the pain of giving birth fades once you meet the baby. But no. I cried from happiness, yes! But my body felt completely wrecked. Like I'd just survived a brutal gym day."
"How does that happiness feel?" His hand brushed up and down my lower back, light and slow, sending a shiver straight along my spine.
"Um…" I was caught off guard by the question. "It feels like…" I went quiet, my mind seriously searching for the right answer.
