Third Person POV
Thunder rolled and the wind-driven rain wrapped the middle of the night just before dawn, making Roey squint in discomfort.
Slowly, his eyelids fluttered open as a flash of lightning waved through the window and caught his eyes.
His shoulders flinched, and he gasped in worry, because surely this kind of thunder meant the Kronosaurus in the sea was angry.
Thankfully, he remembered his mommy saying their house was far from the sea, so the Kronosaurus would not come to kidnap them.
The next thunderclap boomed even louder, making his eyes widen.
"Ughh…" He sat up instantly, not because he was afraid.
His gaze went straight to Reece, still asleep on his bed but already starting to frown.
Roey hurried down from his bed and went to Reece. At first, he half-ran, then changed to tiptoeing so Reece would not hear him.
He stood at the edge of Reece's bed and carefully placed his palms over Reece's ears.
