Chapter 14 - Chapter 13

"If I have to jump, I'll jump. I'm definitely not a low-level pirate." Roger's expression turned serious. He looked at the bottomless cliff before him without any hesitation.

Taking a few steps back, he suddenly accelerated and leaped off the cliff.

Something magical happened. As Roger continued to walk in the air, not only did his body not fall naturally, but it kept rising towards the sky.

Seeing that his body wasn't falling, Roger happily roamed the sky. One moment, he was gliding through the air as if swimming; the next, he was spinning like a top.

"This is really fun, Milim!" Roger excitedly waved at Milim from the air.

But the next moment, Roger saw the magic power gathering in Milim's hand!

"Mi... Milim, what are you trying to do?" Roger instantly had a bad feeling. A drop of cold sweat trickled down his forehead as he asked, stuttering slightly.

"Hehe!" A brilliant smile appeared on Milim's face, like that of an innocent little girl, if you ignored the magic power in her hand.

"Let's play a bullet hell game."

"What's that?!" Roger's eyes widened instantly. "No, Milim!"

...

"Hey! No matter how you put it, this booze is too expensive," Rayleigh was arguing with the liquor store owner about the price.

Suddenly, Rayleigh seemed to feel some commotion in the sky. He looked up and saw one crimson meteor after another streaking across the sky, like a meteor shower.

And he thought he heard Roger's voice. It must have been his imagination. Yes, definitely his imagination.

Rayleigh thus ignored Roger's cries for help and began making a wish upon the shooting stars.

The sun soon set, and the moon rose to take its place.

In a tavern, all the members of the Roger Pirates had gathered, drinking and boasting, until the tavern door was kicked open.

All the members of the Roger Pirates turned their gazes to the door, where a man with a pitch-black face and an afro walked in.

"Damn it! It's Sengoku! When did you chase us all the way here? And how did you become a black man?" Gaban immediately jumped out, raised his twin axes, and without a word, charged at the man with the afro.

The other crew members were stunned for a moment, then immediately reacted with wicked smiles. "So it's Sengoku! Well then, as a member of the Roger Pirates, I must launch a powerful attack."

"You bastards, stop!" Roger raised his sword, Ace, to block Gaban's attack. "Are you trying to murder your captain so you can become the captain yourself?"

"Oops!" Gaban immediately dropped his twin axes and hurriedly began to fix Roger's hair.

"So it's you, Captain. Why didn't you say so earlier?"

"But it's your fault too. If you hadn't dressed up like this, how could we have mistaken you for Sengoku?" Gaban said with a mischievous grin.

"Get lost!" Roger slapped Gaban's hand away, walked over to a stool, sat down, and took a big gulp of booze. "I'm never playing with that kid again in my life. Kids these days are getting harder and harder to deal with."

"Haha, it seems you had a lot of fun today, Captain," Rayleigh said, handing Roger a handkerchief.

Roger took it and wiped his blackened face. "That little girl, Milim, took me up into the sky and then said she wanted to play some 'bullet hell game' with me."

"Bullet hell game? What kind of game is that? I've never heard of such a game in my life," said Rayleigh, the only educated member of the Roger Pirates, indicating that he had no idea what it was.

The other crew members also looked at Roger with curiosity, eager to know what had happened to make him look like this.

"Hah! The so-called bullet hell game was just that little girl attacking me with her light bullets, and I wasn't allowed to fight back," Roger said, taking another gulp of booze, his tone full of bitterness.

"Captain, you're too stupid. Why didn't you dodge when that little girl told you not to?" Gaban said contemptuously, putting his arm around Roger's shoulder. He never knew his captain could be so naive!

"But she said if I dodged, I'd be a low-level pirate," Roger said with a serious expression, as if "low-level pirate" was the most shameful title imaginable.

Gaban immediately supported Roger. "Captain, you did the right thing! You couldn't dodge! Show her that the Roger Pirates are definitely not low-level pirates."

The rest of the crew also strongly approved of Roger's choice, except for Rayleigh, who always felt out of place among his comrades.

My companions are all idiots, Rayleigh thought, lost in contemplation. Many years later, a certain green-haired man would also find himself lost in similar contemplation.

...

"Hum, hum-hum, hum-hum!" Humming a little tune, Milim walked cheerfully to the royal palace of Totto Land. Although it was called a palace, its current scale was only that of a slightly larger villa.

Totto Land didn't have enough money to build a grand palace at the moment.

Returning home, the palace was brightly lit, but apart from the maids cleaning, there was no one else.

Milim skillfully went back to her room, picked up her yukata, and headed towards the hot spring. When building the palace, Milim had specifically chosen a location with a hot spring.

When she first started soaking in the hot spring, Linlin was a little unused to it and was always dragged in by Milim. But after enjoying it for a long time, she got used to soaking in the hot spring for a while after work every day.

Milim took off her clothes, held a towel, and jumped directly into the hot spring, splashing water everywhere.

Milim submerged her entire body in the hot spring. After a long time, a few bubbles rose to the surface, and she emerged from the water.

Although the hot spring water contained Seastone particles, it didn't have a major effect on Milim. The so-called weakening of the body only made Milim feel a little dizzy.

But that was precisely why Milim liked the hot spring. This light-headed feeling was the most comfortable.

Then, Milim swam to the edge of the hot spring, leaned against the side, and sipped the juice a maid brought her, her eyes closed in enjoyment.

The life of a noble is truly luxurious, Milim thought to herself. A thick wave of drowsiness gradually swept over her, her eyelids grew heavier, and she eventually drifted off to sleep.

Not long after, another tall figure walked towards the hot spring.

Having just finished all of today's work, Linlin stretched and yawned, thinking of soaking in the hot spring for a while before going to bed.

When she arrived at the hot spring, she found a familiar figure sleeping by the side.

Linlin couldn't help but smile. She gently entered the water. Like Milim, although the Seastone particles in the hot spring water could affect Linlin, they couldn't completely incapacitate a monster with her constitution.
