Knowing how much Kira wanted this sleepover and hoping that she would get a chance to spend some more time with Akio, Rei agreed, "Alight then! I'll come!"
The truth was, that she never really minded going but the thought that her presence would make Akio uncomfortable was what bothered her.
*Time Skip - The Sleepover Evening*
"Since we're all here, let's play truth and dare!" Kira suggested and the small friend group whined as a NO and disagreed with her which made her sulk.
"Come on!! Don't tell me y'all are hiding something?! It's just a game!" Kira said, sulking.
"She hasn't changed a bit." Rei said as she chuckled while preparing the noodles.
"You know that she never will." Akio said who was grilling skewers beside her.
Lily and Mina were the other two besides the three of them. They were setting up the tent for picnic.
"Alright fine!" Akio replied to Kira who was sulking to ply truth and dare.
"Alright!! Since Akio suggested this sleepover, choose, truth or dare!" Kira asked with a giggle on her face.
"I'd rather choose dare and do something stupid then answering your unhinged questions." Akio said and everyone started laughing.
"dare? hmm.. Feed the skewers to whoever you think is the prettiest among us." Kira said with a smirk on her face.
After thinking for a few seconds, "Say Ah~" Akio said as he brought the skewers over to Rei's face.
"What-" She got confused.
"Just bite it or I might as well just feed it to the ground." Akio said and she took a bite from the skewers.
The two wo were setting the tent shook each other in awe while Kira hugged the floor, "That's not fair! ToT" Akira whined.
"Why would you feed it to me though?" Rei whispered to herself but Akio heard her, "Why not? You're pretty." He said as he collected 3 more pieces of skewers on a plate and went to feed it to others as well.
Her cheeks got a light shade of pink. She didn't feel disheartened that he went to fed it to others as well, she thought it was genuinely so sweet of him. She couldn't help but smile at him as he came back to the grill.
"Anyways, since Kira started the game, choose truth or dare." Lily asked
"Ehh truth!" Kira chose.
"Do you also ship rei with your brother?" Lily asked her with a bright smile on her face.
Rei looked over at Asahi who was already looking at her with widened eyes 'Sorry' he mouthed to her and she just shook her head with a smile. They both turned to Kira who was about to answer.
"Of course! And unlike the others, I actually am a witness to lots of their sweet moments together which would make me think that they would be a great couple together." Kira answered with excitement.
She was right though, Akio seemed to like being shipped with Rei and do did she.
"I remember the time when we played hide and seek years ago." Akio said and Lily and Mina ran towards her to listen to the full story.
"I couldn't find the two of them while I already found the others, I told mom and even she couldn't find them. It turned out so bad that it was already 3 ours and they were nowhere to be seen so we had to call the police as we thought they got lost. But later, we found them in our garden room in which no one goes and guess what, they fell asleep together! Isn't that fluttering?! I was-" Before Kira could finish, Akio cut her off.
"That's enough Kira, you're making rei uncomfortable." Akio said.
"It's fine and to be true, it was extremely sweet." Rei said.
Akio shot a baffled look at Rei who just smiled at him and started moving towards the mat where the other 3 were sitting.
"What actually happened was, I got sprained that day and I could barely walk but since I really wanted to win, I walked up to the door and hid behind it, but Akio thought that if I hid there, I'll lose so he carried me on his back to the garden room and by that time, Kira has already finished counting so we ended up hiding in the same spot and fell asleep together." Rei explained it while others were in an awe.
Akio looked down, his eyes were hidden under his bangs.
"We all know that Akio is extremely caring, to the point that he would even risk his life for us if we were in danger. That's why I really like him." Rei said but she wasn't really sure about how much those words meant to Akio who was just silently grilling.
Akio wore on his headphones to avoid Rei from noticing how his ears which were already plum red by now.
"However, let's drop this topic.. after all we're friends, let's not complicate things." Rei said.
