Chapter 77 - The Bugs Are Coming

Looking at the colony so close, a colony that was about to fall into his hands, Zeke was in a very happy mood; this would be his second colony.

Some traits from Stellaris had not changed after entering reality, which meant that only a few colonies were needed to establish a massive army.

This far exceeded the capabilities of the Imperium of Man.

Zeke's mood was understandably ecstatic, knowing that the colony before him was about to fall into his hands and become his second base.

However, this pleasant mood did not last long; soon, Pixis once again hurried to his side.

"Emperor, our scientists have detected unusual activity in the Warp; several of our space stations have intercepted a strange Warp echo. The sound originates from another star system. The echo was initially weak but gradually grew stronger, as if something is approaching our star system."

"This intelligence was obtained a month ago, and this month we received new intelligence. Our scientists can now confirm that a new storm is about to appear."

...A new storm is about to appear—

Just hearing that phrase, Zeke felt it sounded incredibly familiar.

Tyranid Swarm disaster—

Just these few words appearing in his mind made him feel like he was about to break down. What kind of situation was this?

He had just dealt with Abaddon's Great Crusade, and casually fought the Chaos Gods of the Warp, and now he was being told that a Tyranid Swarm disaster was coming?

Zeke roared inwardly.

He really couldn't hold it together anymore. What level was he at now?

Just a mere colony, and a Tyranid Swarm disaster was coming just as he was preparing to develop his second colony?

But since things had come to this, what could he do? He could only weakly raise his hand and say in a very weary voice,

"Don't tell me the Tyranid Swarm is here? The Terran Dominion hasn't even arrived yet, what are these bugs doing here?"

Zeke's words were weak and without strength; he was truly speechless. He had only been developing for so long, and now he had to face a disaster.

Was a disaster something a human could fight?

It had better not be those 50x disaster Tyranid Swarm again. How could the current Dominion Fleet fight them?

At least he had to wait until the Terran Dominion's fleet truly arrived before he could engage with these Tyranid Swarm; this was Zeke's personal thought.

After Zeke finished speaking, Commander Pixis quickly waved his hands.

"No, no, no, Emperor, you've misunderstood, you've misunderstood. It's not the Tyranid Swarm, it's not those bugs."

As he spoke, he quickly wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. If those bugs really came, even the Terran Dominion would find them difficult to fight.

The Tyranid Swarm disaster, even after the Terran Dominion achieved ascension, they could still encounter it in other universes.

The Tyranid Swarm they had defeated under the Emperor's leadership at that time.

Based on the research conducted by their ascended scientists and their explorations in various universes, they came to a conclusion.

That was not the Tyranid Swarm's complete form.

Once the Tyranid Swarm's complete form truly appeared in this universe, then the Terran Dominion must command this universe to engage them in battle.

Among the four great disasters, the Tyranid Swarm was the most unpredictable.

Their numbers were too vast; in the more than 2,000 universes the Terran Dominion had destroyed along the way, they had seen their dispatched fleets.

Some were pitifully weak, while others were powerful enough to stubbornly hold out against the Terran Dominion's conventional fleets, engaging the Terran Dominion with their endless swarms of fleets.

Although they would ultimately be annihilated under the Terran Dominion's fleet's bombardment, the Tyranid Swarm were undoubtedly powerful enemies.

Zeke wiped the cold sweat from his forehead; as long as it wasn't those monstrous Tyranid Swarm, it was fine.

He really didn't want to fight the Tyranid Swarm right now; he hadn't even started farming yet.

"According to our scientists' analysis, they are not the original Tyranid Swarm, but the Tyranid Swarm. So far, our scientists have not yet figured out the relationship between these two Tyranid Swarm, but it is likely they are related."

"In any case, Emperor, if you truly wish to preserve this universe, you need to be prepared to fight against the Tyranid Swarm disaster.

They will definitely appear again, and if we need this universe, we cannot use universe-level extinction weapons."

Zeke fell silent. He had originally thought that his Warhammer matters, with the Terran Dominion's backing, should be a straightforward victory.

He hadn't expected such a big "surprise" now; a disaster actually seemed to be appearing alongside him?

What?

If that was the case, given the Terran Dominion's current ascension technology, would the Contingency also come to play?

After all, a level 30 singularity civilization, which the Terran Dominion at this point could be said to fully fit.

If the Contingency came out, would the Synthetic Queen also come?

Would the demons from the higher dimensions also come later?

Alright, alright, then all four great disasters would come over, plus himself, that would make it five great disasters.

What sin had this universe committed to endure such suffering?

And what was particularly headache-inducing were those high-risk demons. There were also demons present in the Warp of this universe; who knew if there would be any connection between the two?

So many conjectures appeared in Zeke's mind simultaneously, and he felt his head was truly splitting.

If all the disasters from Stellaris were to appear in this universe, combined with all the messy things from the native Warhammer universe.

The sleeping necrons, the C'tan, or perhaps even the Old Ones that might still exist... Thinking of this, Zeke couldn't even imagine how lively this universe would be then.

It would truly be lively to death... For some reason, Zeke even wanted to destroy this universe with an extinction weapon and be done with it, but considering his parents and relatives were still there, he had to abandon that thought.

Pixis stood respectfully to the side, watching Zeke lost in thought.

In his eyes, Zeke wasn't just daydreaming, but was contemplating the future and path of the Terran Dominion, he was thinking about the direction the human race should take.

After a long while, Zeke looked at the planet before him and then issued his command.

"Leave frigates here to protect this newly acquired colony, and have our administrative personnel also send a unit here to prepare to begin work, to utilize this colony and convert it into the productivity we need, and at the same time, build a Starbase here."

"At least develop the outposts to the Starbase stage; we need to develop as much as possible."

"As for the Terran Dominion's main fleet, prepare to return for reinforcement now."

Ultimately, the long-standing aristocratic education had given Zeke sufficient composure and means to cope.

Although he had a bit of a headache about the messy things that might happen in this universe in the future.

But ultimately, that was only a matter for the future; whether the original Tyranid Swarm would come was still an unknown.

As for whether the other three disasters would appear, that too was an unknown.

Facing the other four unknowns, what Zeke needed to confront now was the Tyranid Swarm advancing towards his colony.

As for why the Tyranid Swarm would appear, he naturally knew.

These guys were definitely coming for his hydroponics farm!

During the period of the Black Great Crusade, his colony had developed very quickly, and the staff of one hydroponics farm was already at full capacity.

Now, the hydroponics farm could produce 140 units of green apples every month.

One hundred and forty units of green apples could provide the normal living standard for 140 billion people.

It could produce enough food for 140 billion people for one month's living standard every month, plus those high-quality humans.

And this was still based on the Terran Dominion's standards for sustenance; if it were according to the Imperium of Man's standards, then 140 units of food would be enough to sustain hundreds of trillions of the Imperium of Man's citizens.

Undoubtedly, the allure of that planet to the Tyranid Swarm was immense, it went without saying; those bugs might already be on their way now.

Hungry, hungry, food, food—
