Chapter 10 - Kamen Rider

After a rainy night and a rough morning, Firefly finds herself broke, exhausted, and unsure whether to compromise her values to survive. Just then, she's approached by a familiar voice—Kurama Neon, the runaway heiress livestreaming her latest escape.

Neon doesn't remember the DGP events due to memory wipes, but she instantly recognizes Firefly as the girl who once helped her evade her bodyguards.

"You again! I never got to thank you properly!"

Firefly responds warmly, noting that Neon is one of the few relatively sane characters in the Kamen Rider Geats universe. Despite her quirks, Neon's desire to escape her controlling family is genuine—and deeply relatable to Firefly.

When Neon's bodyguards reappear, she grabs Firefly's hand and bolts. Firefly, surprised but understanding, follows without protest.

Chapter 17: The Heiress Runs Again

As they flee through alleys, Firefly disables Neon's tracking devices using her system. Eventually, Neon collapses from exhaustion.

"I… I can't run anymore…"

Firefly reassures her that they've shaken the pursuers for now. She warns Neon to turn off her livestream—otherwise, she'll keep broadcasting her location.

Neon complies, signing off with a cheerful message to her fans. For her, the livestream isn't about fame or money—it's about validation. Her fans make her feel seen, unlike her oppressive home life.

"At home, I feel worthless. But with my fans, I feel like someone."

After resting, Firefly urges her to keep moving. Neon hesitates but agrees—if she truly wants freedom, she has to fight for it.

They continue walking, and Neon finally asks:

"What's your name?"

"Firefly."

Neon is enchanted by the name, and by Firefly herself. She feels safe, even though she doesn't know where they're headed.

Eventually, they reach the outskirts of the city. Firefly confirms they're far enough that the Kurama family's surveillance won't reach them—at least for now.

Neon is stunned:

"Did I… actually succeed this time?"

Firefly gently reminds her that true escape is hard in a modern world. As long as she leaves digital traces, she's never truly invisible.
