Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: Another Dimension

Another Dimension.

One of the Gemini Gold Saint's ultimate techniques, also the highest spatial art among Saints.

Without powerful telekinesis or a strong Cosmo, Another Dimension is a nightmare for its target—very likely a one-shot kill, vanishing from the world, exiled forever.

Even with prior caution, Damian was still caught.

Saga's Another Dimension is an instant-cast finisher. When unleashed, it locks on in a flash and drags you into the other dimension—virtually impossible to guard against.

The moment Damian felt space twist, his vision turned upside down, the scene inverted, and his body passed straight into another world.

This world had no sky and no earth, only sun, moon, and stars—black cosmos and inverted spacetime.

He seemed to be drifting at high speed through endless space, with no sense of time or place, just floating in the void without end.

On the throne in the Pope's hall, Saga tapped the armrest with his index finger. "As expected—fragile. At best, Silver Saint level."

"Once you're in Another Dimension, even a Gold Saint can hardly escape."

"A pity about his talent."

"Relying on body training alone to sense the Cosmo counts as extraordinary talent too."

"But I dislike those who hide their strength."

"Better he dies…"

Suddenly, Saga's head throbbed, his black hair stirring.

"You're still this evil. That Damian is clearly a genius—and you killed him. Release him at once."

A voice from deep in his mind made Saga's head feel like it would split.

It was his suppressed good persona.

"Shut up. This brat makes me uncomfortable. I'm going to kill him."

"I don't want his kind in the Sanctuary."

Saga roared, forcing the good persona back down.

.

"So this is Another Dimension. The whole space is bizarre, full of the unknown and the void—like being in some unfamiliar starry sky."

Drifting through the endless stars, Damian felt this other dimension stretching on and on, carrying him toward a strange cosmos.

He seemed small and insubstantial. If he couldn't find an exit, he might be doomed—gone from this world, never to return.

Truly an enviable spatial finisher.

Very interesting.

Saga, I really want to bury you in the graveyard, then sweep your tomb and farm your skills and stats.

So…

"Burn, my Cosmo!"

Damian's eyes went wide. His muscles swelled in an instant, and a golden glow rose all over him.

The formerly infinite Another Dimension warped at once; the scene warped with it.

The next moment, space shattered. Damian broke the cocoon and appeared midair above the graveyard, then crashed down so hard the ground trembled.

The remotely controlled Gemini Cloth had already turned to leave, but sensed the disturbance.

"H-How is this possible?"

The Gold Cloth turned back with a slight tremor; Saga in the Pope's hall trembled too.

He saw the musclebound man before him shining with a faint golden glow, a Cosmo pulsing all around him.

"Saga, your Another Dimension is nice—but it can't hold me."

Damian grinned.

Blood was racing through him, muscles swelling, a fighting spirit rising and boiling.

If he hadn't prepared, locking onto real-world coordinates with telekinesis, he might not have made it back.

Right now he really wanted to flatten Saga and learn this Another Dimension.

But Damian savagely suppressed his Cosmo and his fighting spirit.

If he kicked into second gear with the Muscle Cloth, he'd be tearing the mask off with Pope Saga for good. Even if he beat this Gemini Cloth, it would mean nothing.

Saga could slap any charge he wanted on him and rally the Sanctuary's Saints to hunt him down. His career as a gravekeeper would be at an end.

The consequences would be very serious!

Still…

I really want you to taste second gear—the power of the Muscle Cloth.

Holding himself back, Damian casually picked up a stone. His arm muscles bulged as he put his strength into the throw.

Whoosh!

The stone shot out like a near-lightspeed dart, flying straight into the Gemini Cloth's black-shrouded face.

In the Pope's hall.

Saga was moving to the next control when a stone shot out of the darkness ahead.

Clang!

It was so fast that the controlling Saga hadn't guarded against it. The stone smacked him right in the forehead.

Crown, mask, and necklace all clattered to the floor.

"You… cursed gravekeeper."

Saga's true face showed shock as a bead of blood slid from his brow.

He hadn't expected the other to see through his remote control, punch through a spatial gap with a stone, and hit him.

"Damn it—I actually got hurt. Damn it!"

Feeling blood pass over his brow, Saga's eyes filled with bloodshot veins and his Cosmo erupted from head to toe.

He was about to keep controlling the Cloth when he sensed another Cosmo rushing in outside the graveyard.

It was him!

.

A big crow circled overhead above Damian, cawing.

At the same time, he felt someone rapidly drawing near.

A spatial ripple swept by—the Gemini Gold Cloth under Saga's control had vanished, leaving only a line in the air: "Damian, remember this—this is punishment from Gemini Saga. Next time I won't hold back."

With that, the Gold Cloth and its Cosmo vanished completely.

"Still acting… you think I don't know who you are?"

Damian curled his lip and dropped out of first-gear form.

He looked toward the graveyard gate just as a figure flashed into view.

In a blink, the man was right in front of him.

Flowing violet hair, brows like two dots, and a white robe.

Well now—wasn't that Mu?

He'd sent Number One the crow to fetch a powerful ally—and it found Mr. Mu, guardian of Aries, the First House.

Aries is the first of the Twelve Gold Temples and the closest to the graveyard. The crow carried his telekinesis—no doubt it passed his intent to Mu.

"Gravekeeper Damian, I just sensed a powerful Cosmo. What happened here?"

Mu glanced around and asked, cautious.

"You know me? I… I just saw a ghost!"

Damian wore a spooked, timid look.

"A ghost?"

"Mmhmm—Gemini Gold Saint Saga came to the graveyard to duel me just now—and tried to kill me."

"You know the Gemini Gold Saint's been missing for thirteen years—he should've been dead by now."

"And yet… he appeared. And that Gold Cloth was a shell that moved by itself."

"Tell me—wasn't that a ghost?"

Damian pantomimed the tale with flair—enough to win an Oscar.

Mu's expression turned grave. After a moment's silence he spoke: "The Gemini Gold Saint did not die nor disappear. He's in the Sanctuary."

"Gravekeeper Damian, I've heard a bit about you… The Sanctuary isn't as peaceful as it seems."

"My advice: keep this to yourself—tell no one—and flee the Sanctuary at once to hide. Otherwise you'll face even greater danger."

Damian nodded, seeing it clearly.

This was why Mu hadn't returned to the Sanctuary for years—because he knew his master Shion was dead and chose to avoid Pope Saga to prevent assassination. His current return was only temporary.

He was telling Damian to bolt for his life.

"Gravekeeper Damian, do you know of anyone in the Sanctuary raising crows?"

In the lull, Mu suddenly asked.

"Raising crows?"

Damian's eyes widened in confusion as he flipped on the acting.

"Yes. In recent days, the crows in the Sanctuary have behaved oddly—often stealing Gold Cloth fragments, even various Cloth materials."

"I suspect someone is using them to steal."

Mu's words made Damian's little heart skip.

No wonder there'd been a sudden influx of Bronze and Silver Cloth fragments lately—turns out the crows had been pinching his stash.

Watching a crow streak across the graveyard, Mu frowned slightly. "Originally, those crows were controlled by the Crow Silver Saint—but he's dead. I don't know who else could control them."

"I even sensed telekinesis on one crow."

"Do you know anything about that?"

Ever the telekinesis expert—better not slip.

Damian kept a blank look and shook his head. "No idea. I only know crows like to collect shiny things—they love bright metal scraps—and sometimes fly into the graveyard. Noisy creatures. That's all I know."

Flawless acting—no loose ends.

I'll never admit it. Crow babies, scatter now—and be careful when you steal next time. Don't let anyone see!

.

Watching Mu depart, Damian stood silent for a long time.

Since crossing over, it was his first time feeling such a crushing pressure—enough to choke him.

He would be facing the Sanctuary's strongest—Dark Saga!

No doubt, Saga hadn't gone all out this time. He might come after him again.

And he had no Cloth. Even if he reached the Seventh Sense and had a trove of Gold Saint techniques, he'd still struggle to arm-wrestle Saga with a Gold Cloth.

Even with the Muscle Cloth, he'd be at a disadvantage.

Leave the graveyard?

Impossible.

The graveyard is my home.

And I, Damian, don't knuckle under!

I have to get stronger.

With that, Damian strode toward the depths of the graveyard…
