The hall froze under Xuan Wei's words, and then he repeated the words. "You think he's Feng Lan's son?" Xuan Han's gaze flickered away."And you didn't tell me?"
"There was no need."
"No need?"
Xuan Wei stepped closer, anger flickering in his eyes. "I served under Feng Lan for years and respected him. Then I watched you cut him down with your own hand, and now you find his son and say there's no need to tell me?"
Xuan Han's breath tightened, and he clenched his fists. He released a deep sigh as his voice dropped to steel. "Enough!" he shouted.
But Xuan Wei wasn't done. He leaned closer and pushed his brother on the shoulder. "Isn't it highly disrespectful how you are around him after cutting down his father? If he truly is Feng Lan's child, you shouldn't be dragging him around with you. You will only put him in danger, just like you did with Feng Lan!"
