"Draco-"
Draco leaned in too close and just one more move and their lips would collide but he pulled away
"I'm not gonna kiss you, you smell like Matteo, I don't like that bastard" Draco said and Anika took a minute to register what he said and burst out laughing "I already called it off"
"Yeah I'm sure if he's parents haven't called, you guys would have-" Draco was interrupted by Anika stealing a kiss from his lips and she stood up "I'm not done with my story so don't-hey!!"
Draco had thrown her pillow at her face "you can now continue"
Anika scoffed and walked to the vanity table
"While I was wallowing once in the dark room, Matteo and Bruce walked in, I was surprised Cruz was in the middle of the night...."
... Eleven years ago....
"Matteo? Bruce? What are you doing here?"
Bruce hushed Anika "we're here to save you"
Matteo held her hand "come in let's go, let's be quick"
They dragged her out of the room and walked down the hallway, she ran with them, excitement, fear, joy, anxiousness were brewing inside her, free she's going to be free
The trio walked out of the base Into the forest
"Go, run away, far away" Bruce said
"What about you? Aren't you coming with us?" Anika asked
"No this is my life now, I promise I'll find you one day, if you're very find a home take this" Bruce handed over a paper
"That's my dad's number, don't worry my dad is a good person, call the number okay?" Bruce said
Anika nodded, she was already crying, soon the lights of the base turned on, they were alert
"She's missing!!"
"They are awake, go run now!!" Bruce said, Matteo took her hand and ran away with it, Anika had tears in her eyes, she was crying"....
"..We got into a farm truck that took us to the city, but in the bursty city, Matteo left, I woke up and found him missing, I was scared, lost, wondering if they caught him already....I lived in the streets, surviving on rain water and left overs by people in a restaurant, I was digging for food in the trash when I heard footsteps and hit behind it.."
"Then I found you there" Draco completed her sentence and she nodded
"I used Sadie's phone to call Bruce's dad, Bruce was glad I'm okay but then he confirmed that Matteo wasn't with them, we were sad and devastated for a month then I found Matteo again after three years I found Matteo again, he was by the streets, I couldn't bring him here so I took him to the orphanage, they took him in and everyday after school I would ditch Sadie and Xena so we would hang"
"How your fling start?" Draco asked and anika walked back to him "we were drunk, I took out your exotic wines mistaking them for grape juice, Matteo was older, he realised it was alcohol and told me but I wanted to try new things...we got drunk and we kinda had s🤨x and since then we've been..."
"Fucking??" Draco asked
"Sort off, when Matteo clicked twenty one he went to Zander's base, we kidnapped one of their members in their mission and cloned his face into a face mask"
"That was what Matteo wore in the base, I intentionally let myself get kidnapped so I can take to Zander myself, I left Matteo's fake name in the paper, Bruce convinced Zander and Matteo was out of there, all that's left is how we'll get Bruce out of Zander's clapse and once Zander drinks the wine containing riancin I have just one week to get my questions answered by Zander before his heart explodes"
Draco hugged her tightly "you'll figure it out, meanwhile, while you were being secretive I found who the mole is"
"Who is it" she asked curiously but Draco chuckled "I can't reveal all my cards yet can I?"
Anika gasped and huffed "fine"
"Advice, I think you should hold on actually, get the necessary information out of Zander before feeding him the pill" Draco said
"You think it'll work?" She asked and he nodded "if he knows he's gonna die with no cure he won't tell you anything..." He trailed off and she nodded she immediately brought out her phone
"What are you doing" Draco asked curiously
"Calling Bruce to put the plan on hold" she said
"What's up shawty?" Bruce asked and Draco frowned but he said nothing
"Ew dont call me that again, are you with the pill" she asked
"What pill?" Bruce asked confused and Anika slapped her forehead "riacin?"
"Why do you ask??" Bruce asked and Anika felt like punching him to death "out the plan on hold, don't do it yet, we have to put trust in Matteo with Kyla and Camilla first"
"About that.." Bruce trailed off
"Bruce?? What did you do??" Anika asked and Bruce trailed off "wellll Jason, Matteo, Oliver and I went to the bowling alley and I kinda lost the pill"
"YOU DID WHAT!!!" Anika screamed
"I lost the pill okay, don't worry it's Prolly on the sidewalk, rain will fall and it will dissolve" Bruce said casually
"Yeah but its not that simple, when did you even get close to Jason and Oliver??" Anika asked
"There are a lot things you don't know about my sissy" Bruce said
"Bruce you have to find that drug, it's deadly what if-" Anika said but Bruce cut her off "relax no one is with the pill, if anyone saw it, is it a poison pill that will first come to their mind? No they'll think it's a paracetamol"
"You better be correct just to be safe I'll start making the antidote" Anika said
"No need for that, it not having an antidote makes it better, don't waste your time" Bruce said and Anika scoffed "fine if you say so"
"Yeah I gotta go" Bruce said and hung up and she frowned
"What?" Draco asked and she looked at him "Bruce is acting strange, a, he doesn't call me sissy, b, Bruce prefers to be on the safe side"
"You're ovethinking it" Draco said and she sighed "I do need a good night sleep"
"Sleep tight" Draco kissed her forehead and walked out, Anika remained int he bed blushing like crazy "what's up with Draco?"
