Ruby's POV
The morning light filtered through the curtains as consciousness slowly returned to me.
His solid chest pressed against my spine, radiating warmth that seeped into my bones. His muscular arm draped possessively across my waist, holding me captive even in sleep.
Every muscle between my thighs ached with the memory of last night's intensity.
I released a shaky breath, my gaze fixed on the shadows dancing across the wall.
The irony wasn't lost on me. His precious rule about staying off this floor had become meaningless. I couldn't recall the last time I'd even seen my own bedroom.
"What's running through that head of yours?" His voice rumbled against my ear, thick with sleep but alert.
I attempted to shift away, but his grip only tightened. Our naked bodies remained intertwined beneath the silk sheets.
"Tell me," he demanded, his tone leaving no room for evasion.
Every day revealed another layer of his possessive nature.
