Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 0.3 — THE FIRST SIMULATION

"Sometimes a system doesn't need strength to collapse. It only needs someone patient enough to understand how it thinks."

The Holo-Resonator Chamber hummed with sterile light.Every flicker was precise — every silence deliberate.

Elias noticed the blinking floor lights: four seconds on, one second pause.A pattern. Always a pattern.

The doors opened, swallowing them in blue light.A burning village stretched before them — The Village of Fire.Dust, heat, artificial wind, even the illusion of sweat.

Three humanoid AIs approached — empty eyes glowing white.

"Simulation start," the system said.

"Plan?" Isha whispered.

"Look at the tiles," Elias replied. "Those lights regulate heat.Disturb the balance, the system loses anchor."

They ran — not away from enemies, but against the algorithm. The air shimmered unnaturally.

"Warning: Temperature feedback anomaly."

The AIs froze mid-motion.The world flickered. Then darkness.

From the observation deck, Harlan muttered,

"He didn't fight it… he debugged it."

When the lights came back, everyone was breathing hard.Elias just stood there, calm.

"You crashed a million-credit simulator," Isha said.

"It crashed itself," Elias answered. "I just showed it how."

That night, he wrote:

"Simulations have limits. But patterns don't.Maybe The Field isn't a game. Maybe it's a mirror."
