Leo is nervous and sweaty standing outside a glossy audition room at starlume Entertainment company. He's been rejected from three studio's already this month. His agency dropped him and this happens to be his last chance . Leo "if I fail this one too ...maybe acting isn't for me ". He seems distracted by the actors that are coming out of the audition rooms he whispers "popular actors, come to think of it do I even stand a chance ".
His name is called ,he walks in ,the lights are glaring and cameras recording,the room is silent in a way he could hear his heartbeat ,sitting behind the long table , Is Ethan kang , the CEO himself .A handsome ,serious guy with round big eyes that make him attractive to many .
Everyone else seems tense around Kang due to his sharp suit,his icy stare and reputation which makes him untouchable. Leo steps in for his acting role ,he starts acting,but nerves get the better side of him and makes him forget a line ,he tries again... "cut...too emotional,too raw ",the director signs , "Leo ,you're a young , talented actor with skills and passion but you let fear take the best version of you " ,the director continues. " This is your last chance so try to make it memorable as it appears to you ",the manager encourages Leo .
Kang says nothing and keeps staring at Leo,his cold silence burns more than words .
Finally,kang stands up ,adjusting his cufflinks ,"Leo you have emotions ....but no control , Acting is an act of discipline not chaos ".Leo responds with a frustrated face ..."And maybe you wouldn't understand chaos because you've never collided with it ".
The room is filled with dead silence. Everyone thinks Leo just destroyed his career. Kang pauses ...then gives a faint smile "interesting.." he walks out of the room without another word .Leo smiles covering the fear on his face and takes the scripts and leaves the audition room.
Later that evening,Leo is sitting by the river side with his small bag of scripts wondering if he should just give up on his acting career .he is deep in his thought that he doesn't feel any rain drops falling from the sky ,the clouds are dark but that doesn't seem to scare Leo's thoughts .he stands up and starts walking home .his phone is ringing,"manager..."Leo responds,"Leo you won't believe what I'm about to tell you...starlume Entertainment wants you,the CEOjust requested for your phone number and house address".the manager explains.
"Are you kidding me .how is that even possible after I snapped at the CEO?? " Leo answers in a trembling voice .
Manager answers "he requested you personally for a special project ". Leo's heart skips a beat "what does he want from me ...is he after my life for revenge ". "Ooh?,okay" Leo ends the call.
The next morning ,Leo walks into starlume head quarters , hopefuly to clutch the contract ,when the elevator door opens ,kang is already waiting hands in pockets for his arrival. "shit "Leo whispers.kang smiles as Leo enters his office , "ooh ,wow ",leo exclaims staring at the way kang's office is neat and tidy ."welcome,have a sit" ,kang responds. Leo smiles and sits down . " Why did make an appointment that you wanted to see me",Leo asks in a shaking voice .Kang responds "do you think you can survive in my company with that attitude?" you said I've never felt anything. I want to prove you wrong, Leo..".
Leo swallowed his saliva,his throat dry with fear , without responding to kang. He is afraid his mouth would ruin another day .kang request for privacy from the manager to have a conversation with Leo "..And don't close the door behind you ", Leo smirks and looks at kang .
For some minutes the room is filled with tense silence ."have you managed to work with any company before ",kang asks Leo staring at him with his round eyes making Leo gulp with nervousness. "Are you mocking me or something ",Leo responds to kang "but...,yes ,I got dumped by my agency the previous week before I decided to audition in your company".
" Giving up is always an option if the load becomes too heavy to handle ,Leo, though ,I kinda like the way you keep trying " ,Kang motivates Leo. The manager enters in the office and whispers something to kang and then walks out .
Kang requests Leo to follow him to his company canteen to grab something to eat on his bill ."Haha,you read my mind! ,sure let's go." Leo stood up .As they walked out through the company's main door , people started to whisper " isn't that the guy who had trouble during his audition, yesterday "one of them asked ."did the CEO give him another chance ,I knew it by the way kang walked out of the room yesterday without saying a word ,"another staff responded .
"Haha,Very romantic isn't it,"the manager who had been standing behind them responded "can you quit the act and go back to your work ,now!" the manager continued as she walked away . The staffs hurriedly walked back to their working spots .
On the other side kang orders food since Leo was shy and kept looking down ."anything else" kang asked Leo who was busy smiling,"if not that will be what I'm ordering for today,"kang continues as the waiter walks away . Without wasting a dime the table was set with an array of sweet treats,each one looking too good to resist .
"Be my guest and treat yourself with the meal,"kang told Leo. "Thank you,then I won't hold back. " answered Leo. In a few seconds Leo realises that everyone in the canteen was looking in their direction and smiling ."why is everyone staring at our direction",leo whispers ," it's very rare for me to eat from the canteen, I'm always served from my office,"kang answered " so eat and don't mind them," kang continued .
After the meal, kang issues Leo with a document that requests him to arrive tomorrow in the morning at eight o'clock for an audition at starlume Entertainment company and kang walks away .
" So this is it,I must make this audition change my past and everything ,"Leo whispered to himself with a heart warming smile as he walks out the canteen . "
