At the mention of Lenn name, Sabrina quickly helped Dalton sit down on the couch. "Sir, please calm down. Ella, it's okay if you don't acknowledge me, but you can't hurt your father like this. Just apologize to him..."
Before Sabrina Anderson could finish her sentence, a familiar voice called out from the doorway, "Sis, you're back! That's great! Where have you been?"
Stella Grant, dressed in a little party dress, dashed over. But before she could hug Ella Grant, Ella nimbly dodged her and subtly tripped her up.
Stella missed her target and fell flat on her face, letting out a yelp, "Ah!"
"Stella!" Sabrina rushed to help her up, her concern for Stella far exceeding her earlier worry for Ella. "Are you okay? Did you hurt yourself?"
Stella shook her head, her big, expressive eyes shimmering with worry. "Sis, what's wrong? I was just worried about you!"
Looking at her innocent and naive sister, Ella Grant thought it was a shame Stella wasn't pursuing acting.
"Nothing's wrong," she said, locking eyes with Stella. "I just think you're dirty!"
Stella's expression stiffened for a moment. She had just celebrated Ella's supposed death with Quinn Lee, only to receive a call from the butler on her way back.
Ella Grant was not only back, but she was also driven home by Lennox himself. Her initial joy quickly evaporated into thin air.
Sabrina Anderson sensed the tension and immediately frowned, scolding, "Ella, what are you doing? Your sister is just worried about you!"
Ella turned around and flashed a mischievous smile at Stella Grant. "If my dear sister has time to put on a show, she might as well think about how to save her own skin!"
"Elle Grant! Stop right there!"
Ellea Grant was completely unfazed by her father's furious shout. "Oh right, you wish I wasn't your daughter. Well, guess what? I wish you weren't my dad either!"
In the next moment, the door slammed shut with a loud bang, shutting out all the shouting and cursing from outside. Dalton Grant had never felt this angry in all his years!
