Maximilian walked out of the old apartment building, towards the outskirts of the neighborhood to take a cab.
While walking, he attracted a lot of attention from all the people who had a chance to see him, since he was the most beautiful person they ever saw and will ever see.
As he walked down the road, he chanced upon a group of '9 year old' kids leaning against their bicycles.
They were the regular trouble-makers of the neighborhood and he'd been the target of their mischief quite a few times.
Normally he'd avoid them but since he was in a good mood, he called out to them:
" 'Sup kids."
They were gobsmacked by his appearance and wondered what a guy like Max was doing in their neighborhood.
After a few moments, one of them, a tough looking 9 year old boy named Henry spoke out:
"Are you lost Sir?"
Max chuckled at their behaviour before responding:
"Henry, did you forget the poor soul you've tormented so much over the past year? I'm Max."
The kids reacted instantly with exclamation marks:
"Dude!!!" "No Way!!!" "Get out of here!!!"
After their noisy chatter died down, one of them asked:
"What happened to you? You look like a Movie Star."
Maximilian just smiled and replied:
"Nothing special, just got a little makeover."
To which they spoke at the same time:
"Yeah right"
"Sure Sure"
"And I've got a million bucks in my pocket."
Max just shook his head in amusement while watching their antics.
As he was about to bid them goodbye, Henry asked him:
"Hey, Where are going?"
"To my new place."
"Wait, Are you like 'leaving' leaving this place?"
"Yeah"
"Ohh..." Replied Henry as everyone else went quiet.
"Alright guys, take care. And don't forget to study hard if you want to make something of yourselves. Goodbye"
After saying goodbye, Max turned and walked towards his destination.
Reaching the outskirts of the neighborhood, he hailed a taxi and went to the most luxurious hotel in the city.
After arriving at the hotel, he paid the cab driver off with a generous tip and went towards the hotel.
As he was walking towards the hotel, he saw an ATM machine nearby, so he went over there to check the working of his new debit card.
While operating the ATM machine, he checked the account balance which showed 10 billion dollars and went ahead and withdrew 10 thousand dollars.
After storing the money, card & reciept into his inventory, he went to the hotel.
Maximilian walked through the hotel entrance as a Chauffeur greeted him prompting him to greet him back.
While appreciating the pleasant atmosphere of the hotel lobby, he arrived at the reception where two attractive female receptionists were working.
When they both saw him, they were so enchanted that they couldn't form a coherent thought for a few seconds.
Max looked at them with amusement while letting them have their moment.
After a few moments, the one on the right with curly brown hair broke out of her reverie first and spoke sweetly while blushing:
"Welcome to Velvet Grand hotel. How can I help you Sir?"
Max replied:
"Hi, I'd like to book a room for myself. Your best available option."
"Sure Sir, let me check it."
The other girl is now awake from her daydreams as she twirled her red hair while smiling at him.
He gave her a playful wink causing her to gasp, after which he went on to look at the receptionist who was checking for available rooms.
Just when the redhead was about to speak something to him, she was interrupted by the other one:
"Sir we have a Presidential Suite available, would you like to know its amenities?"
Max replied while giving her his debit card:
"No need for that, just book this room for me."
"Okay Sir"
After taking his card, she processed his request in a few moments and returned it with the room's electronic key.
After receiving the items, he asked directions for the hotel's restaurant.
After getting a positive response, he waived them off as he went towards the restaurant to have a nice meal.
The restaurant was the definition of opulence with calm and intimate ambience, dazzling anyone who walks into it.
And with a touch of exclusivity as he was asked for his room number to confirm his stay.
Arriving at the table he was assigned to, Maximilian took a seat and ordered the food like there was no tomorrow.
The waiter gave him weird looks despite trying his best to keep his composure.
But Max didn't care, he wanted to enjoy his birthday and eat everything that he couldn't afford to have before.
After noting down the order, waiter asked while trying to maintain a polite attitude:
"Will that'll be all Sir?"
"Yeah that's it for now, Thanks."
When waiter went away, Max started fiddling with Smart AR.
He checked out various apps that were on his phone before but are now in his head and then thought of something:
'Hey Ava, wipe my data off the internet. The only websites that should have my data are the ones that I'll allow, like banking, government etc.'

'Great work Ava'
After replying to her, Maximilian started browsing news of current affairs.
A few minutes later, the dishes that he ordered were started being served to him in a sequence.
Eating the first bite was so delightful of an experience that he almost moaned in pleasure.
And so he enjoyed the meal as he ate everything with gusto.
After he was done eating, he paid the bill with a generous tip and went towards his room.
His room was at the top floor, so it took him a few minutes to get there and unlock the door.
And when he entered the room, he was captivated by the alluring ambience that sang the word luxury with enchanting grace.
After checking the place out completely, Max took off his shoes and laid on the bed to rest.
After a few minutes of rest, he asked Ava:
'Is there any surveillance device in this suite?'
[No master]
'Thats good, wouldn't want to change places so soon.'
Soon, after lazying for a while, Max started making plans for what he's going to do with this newly gained powers.
As he thinks about his future, he realized that it's necessary to have a general aim/direction about how you want to live your life.
If you don't have a direction, you'll wither and rot away in a direction-less slump.
That's why he decided he's going to enjoy his life, build a loving family and live on his own terms while becoming extremely powerful using the tools at his disposal to protect his way of life.
