1 week later, Kelechi and her mum packed out of the house, and went to her mum's house as discussed.
Phone rings while Kelechi sits on the sofa, she picks it.
"Hello Kelechi, I am sorry I couldn't come to your house anymore as we discussed, I travelled and what my family members needed me for was very urgent. By the way, I came to your house yesterday, but you were not around, hope no problem". Mrs. Samson asked.
"No probs, my friend, but I have relocated, that's why you didn't see me at home".
"Why did you relocate and where did you relocate to". Mrs. Samson asked.
"I relocated to my mum's place, and I would like you to come one day, I want to talk to you about some things and tell you why I relocated".
"Okay, tomorrow will be alright, I will come tomorrow".
"Thank you very much my friend, I will be expecting you tomorrow, Bye!.
"Bye, bye". Mrs. Samson said.
The next day, Mrs. Samson arrived at Kelechi's mum house.
"Knock, knock". Mrs. Samson knocked at the door.
"Hold on, I will be right there". Kelechi said.
When Kelechi opened the door, she welcomed her friend.
"Welcome, my friend". She said while hugging her.
"Thank you, please where is your mum and Daniel".
"They are in the room". Kelechi said.
"Please, tell her I am here".
"Okay". Kelechi said.
"Mum!". Kelechi said shouting.
"Yes". Her mum answered.
"My friend, Mrs. Samson is here".
"Okay, I am coming". Kelechi's mum said.
"Oh, my daughter, I didn't know you were coming".
"Ah mummy, it's been long since we've seen each other". Mrs. Samson said hugging her.
"Yes, that's true, it's 2 years now since we've seen each other". Kelechi's mum said.
"Mummy, what of Daddy, how is he". Mrs. Samson asked.
"He is fine, but he is not around presently, he will be back in five days time. How is your husband and your children, I believe they are doing well, I even trust you, because you would have really taken care of them". Kelechi's mum said.
"I called you here to have a word with you, not to have a word with mum". Kelechi said jokingly.
"Am I not just greeting her. It's been a long time now". Mrs. Samson said.
"So sit down, let's discuss. Kelechi said.
"Okay". Mrs. Samson sits on the sofa.
"So what do you want to discuss with me".
"My late husband's family members came to my former house shortly after my mum arrived the day I told you she was going to come. They told me I had only one week left to pack out of the house, the part that even annoyed me the most was that one of them told me that since my late husband was dead, I should pack out and move on with my life, that after all I wasn't too old to remarry. That was the reason why I relocated. Kelechi explained.
"Ah, ah, those people are really wicked, how could they have done such thing to you, they are so heartless, they couldn't even pity you because of Daniel. Mrs. Samson said.
"There is nothing I can do, I will just have to stay here for the main time and rent an apartment for me and my son to live in".
"But what one of your husband family members said was a right thing at the wrong time". Mrs. Samson said.
"What has he said that is right but at the wrong time". Kelechi asked confused.
"He said you should remarry, but it shouldn't be so soon, you have to let your son grow and let the death of your husband erase from your mind". Mrs. Samson said.
"How could he say I should remarry after the love I have shared with my husband".
"He shouldn't have said such thing actually, it's too soon, you should wait for some time, before you start thinking of how to remarry". Said Mrs. Samson.
"As for me, I am not going to remarry, there is nothing anyone can say, I can not let any man take the position of my late husband. And this wasn't the reason I called you here, I did not call you to talk about remarrying. And I don't want to hear it again". Kelechi said angrily.
"Don't be angry, I won't talk about it again". Mrs. Samson said.
"Before I forget, I wanted to discuss something with you". Kelechi said.
"Yeah, it's true, what's the thing you want to discuss with me, I can be of help. Mrs. Samson said.
"I am thinking of starting a petty trade, but I don't have any money to start". Said Kelechi.
"What's the thing you want to sell".
"Provisions, I think it would require less money to start".
"Good choice, but how much do you need to start". Mrs. Samson said.
"Probably 200,000 Naira, just to start". Said Kelechi.
"Don't worry, thank God you told me about it, I will send 500,000 Naira to you, so you can as well rent an apartment for yourself and your child". Mrs. Samson said.
"Did you just say you could give me some money to start my business. I really love you and forever will". Kelechi said happily.
"I love you too, by the way what are friends for, we've been friends for a very long time, so we should help each other in times of difficult situations". Mrs. Samson said.
"Thank you so much, I really appreciate ". Kelechi said.
"You're welcome, and you don't need to thank me. I have to leave now, my children would have been back from school".
"Okay,bye!". Kelechi said.
