Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 – Bibi Dong's Soul Skills

Chapter 6 – Bibi Dong's Soul Skills

Half of Bibi Dong's time belonged entirely to herself.

That realization made Qi Tian uneasy. If she ever did something reckless or dangerous during that time, wouldn't it drag him into trouble too?

"Hey… you didn't do anything irrational yesterday, right?" Qi Tian asked cautiously.

Bibi Dong frowned. "This is my body. I'll do whatever I want. What does it have to do with you?"

Qi Tian sighed. "How does it not have to do with me? If I wake up one day to find myself locked in a secret room—or worse, in some life-and-death crisis—what do you expect me to do?"

Her tone instantly sharpened. "Don't mention any secret rooms! Ever again!"

Qi Tian blinked, realizing he had touched a nerve. She was clearly still haunted by what he had told her before—about her future, her teacher, and that dark secret hidden in the shadows of destiny.

Now, she didn't even dare to visit her teacher anymore.

"Alright, alright, I won't bring it up again," Qi Tian said quickly, raising his hands in surrender. "But for both our sakes, please… just be careful. My soul's safety depends on your body not dying."

Bibi Dong didn't reply, but her silence spoke volumes.

Yesterday morning, when she had regained full control of her body, she'd actually felt a little… happy. Free, even.

Qi Tian had mocked her for being uneducated, so to prove him wrong, she had spent the entire day reading through the academy's collection.

But what she didn't expect was for Yu Xiaogang to approach her again that same day—using his so-called "theories" to draw her in, just as Qi Tian had predicted.

Remembering Qi Tian's warning, she resisted the urge to show emotion. Instead, she chatted calmly with Yu Xiaogang, using the opportunity to test his intentions.

Sure enough, before long, he asked to borrow higher-level martial soul tomes from the upper floors of the library—books that only the Holy Maiden of Spirit Hall had access to.

At that moment, Bibi Dong's heart trembled. Could Qi Tian really be telling the truth?

Still, doubt lingered. Even if he was from the future, how could she be sure he wasn't lying? What if he was sent by some hidden faction trying to destroy Spirit Hall from within, by driving a wedge between her and her teacher?

In the end, she decided—she'd believe only half of what he said.

Qi Tian's voice brought her back to the present. "So, what are your plans today?"

"Nothing much," she replied. "Why? What are you planning to do with my body this time?"

Qi Tian chuckled. "Relax. I just want to test your soul skills—get familiar with your combat style. That way, if I ever end up in control during a dangerous situation, I won't drag you down."

Bibi Dong raised an eyebrow. "This is Spirit City, the safest place in all of the Douluo Continent. What kind of danger could we possibly face here?"

Qi Tian countered, "And what if you decide to go out on a training expedition? You're already a Soul King. You don't plan to stay cooped up here forever, do you?"

Her eyes widened slightly. His words triggered a memory—his warning from before.

If what he said about the future is true, maybe leaving the city to train could change everything.

And even if he's lying, training outside will still give her experience and battle insight.

Either way, it was a win-win.

"Fine," she finally said, a spark of determination in her tone. "Let's head to the training grounds."

"Perfect!" Qi Tian said, instantly energized. He swung his legs off the bed and walked toward her wardrobe.

The moment he opened it, his eyes almost popped out.

The closet was filled with beautiful, colorful dresses—each one more elegant than the last. Silks, robes, combat outfits—all meticulously maintained.

Even though she was the Holy Maiden of Spirit Hall, at the end of the day, she was still a young girl who liked beautiful things.

Qi Tian couldn't help comparing. Meanwhile, he had only two worn-out sets of clothes and one threadbare winter coat back home…

"Don't just stand there gawking," Bibi Dong's voice sounded in his head, faintly exasperated. "Pick the black training outfit—the one on the left."

Qi Tian nodded quickly. "Got it!"

Qi Tian picked out a black training outfit from the wardrobe and began to change.

"Ah! Stop looking! You perverted degenerate!" Bibi Dong's voice shrieked in his mind.

Her skin was smooth and flawless, as delicate as silk and jade — even through touch alone, one could feel her youth and perfection.

"I'm actually a girl too, so what's the harm in looking?" Qi Tian lied shamelessly.

Bibi Dong, of course, didn't believe a word of it. "Who are you trying to fool? What kind of woman can't move her eyes away after seeing another woman's body?"

"First off, I can move my eyes," Qi Tian retorted calmly. "Second, you're so beautiful that even other women would want to stare."

'Hmph, that's true! My beauty is unparalleled beneath the heavens!'

Bibi Dong couldn't help but feel a flicker of pride as his words stroked her vanity.

Still, she only half-believed him. She had already decided this soul possessing her body was definitely male.

'Hmph! From now on, I won't change my clothes when I sleep! I refuse to let this shameless pervert profit off me again!' Bibi Dong grumbled in her thoughts.

She then added with a huff, 'I'll spend the night in the Douluo Hall. Let's see if you dare to seize control of my body under the eyes of a Title Douluo!'

After much fussing, Qi Tian finally finished dressing and straightened his hair. Under Bibi Dong's reluctant guidance, he made his way to the training grounds.

The cultivation grounds atop Spirit Hall Mountain offered complete privacy. Only a select few high-ranking soul masters were permitted to enter.

Right now, Qi Tian had the entire space to himself.

He took a deep breath, summoned Bibi Dong's Martial Soul, and began testing out her soul skills.

Bibi Dong's soul rings formed a flawless configuration — yellow, yellow, purple, purple, and black.

As Qi Tian willed it, the first ring underfoot lit up.

Her first skill: Deathly Poison Stinger.

Behind him, the phantom of the Death Spider Emperor flared to life, its legs stabbing forward and firing a venomous green beam with lethal precision.

Qi Tian's heart skipped a beat. If that hit him, I'd probably skip straight past "poisoned" and go right to "dead."

"Honestly, do you not even know how to perform a Martial Soul Possession? Don't tell me you can't cultivate at all?" Bibi Dong's voice dripped with exasperation.

Martial Soul Possession was the first essential ability every Beast Martial Soul Master learned—merging Martial Soul with the body to strengthen oneself.

"Who says I can't? I'm just… a Weapon Martial Soul Master," Qi Tian muttered, fumbling for excuses.

He concentrated, feeling out the flow of energy—and finally succeeded.

Once possessed, Bibi Dong's body transformed subtly. Fine, nearly invisible hairs grew across her limbs, glinting faintly with venom. From her back sprouted several spider legs, eerie yet graceful.

Unfortunately, there was no mirror nearby, so Qi Tian couldn't see her facial changes.

Still, her hands remained snow-white and delicate, so he figured her face couldn't have changed much either.

The spider's legs extended outward, letting it lift slightly off the ground. He could even walk using them—fast and agile, like a deadly predator.

The second soul skill, Spider Sense, activated next.

The fine hairs of her Martial Soul released a faint poisonous mist into the air, silently spreading death. It was a perfect crowd-control ability—both lethal and undetectable.

At the same time, it enhanced perception drastically, allowing her to sense even subtle movements nearby.

Then, Qi Tian activated the third soul skill — the deep purple ring glowed, and a massive web burst forth, laced with poisonous energy. The attack looked absolutely terrifying.

"Do you have to release that skill from there?! Can't you aim somewhere else?!" Bibi Dong's furious voice rang out.

Qi Tian froze. "What do you mean?"

"You idiot! That's not where you're supposed to fire from!"

Her voice was trembling with both embarrassment and rage.

When Qi Tian used the skill, the spider web had been ejected directly from the spider's abdomen—which, thanks to the Martial Soul Possession, was part of her body now.

Even though it was technically a martial soul's doing… she could still feel everything.

For a woman, that was beyond humiliating.

"Damn it! You're such a disgrace!" she screamed internally, wanting nothing more than to strangle the soul currently sharing her body.
