On the other side, in front of the gate that led to the forest area, two students were standing staring at each other.
" Let's go inside." Bella said to Seb while taking out a map from her bag.
" Why are you carrying a map with you? Don't you trust me that you'll be able to come back here with me?" Seb said with a smirk on his face.
" None of your concern what I'm taking with me or not. And, talking about me trusting you, then listen, I do not trust you." Bella said, starting sternly in his eyes.
" Don't play with me, you wild kitten. If I do something to you here, no one would be able to save you." Seb said in his angry whispers. This girl was getting on his nerve each time. Never in his life, he had seen anyone disrespecting him like the way she does.
Bella was a little taken aback hearing his words. How terrible he is! Though she was bold and could be fearless sometimes, in strength she was weaker than him.
" Look now, you are being scared. That's the expression I wanted to see on your face for a long time." Seb said with an evil laugh and Bella's expression turned sour.
" I'm not as free as you are so let's go inside quickly." Bella said, her patience becoming thinner with each passing second.
" Don't be so eager. If you would come to know what are you going to see in the forest, you will never want to go." Seb said while Bella scoffed.
" Nothing can be as horrible as you." Bella said under her breath.
" Don't think that I can't hear you." Seb said, veins on his head popping up.
" Yeah, so what? Are you going to come or not?" Bella said with a raised eyebrow.
" Let's go." he said and walked through the gate. Bella followed behind him as they went deeper inside the forest.
After fifteen minutes of walking like that, Bella finally stopped and grabbed Seb's shirt to stop him from walking too.
" What are you doing?" he asked her angrily, shaking her hands off.
" Stop shouting every time. It's irritating. I was saying, do you even know where are we heading to? We are just roaming here in this dense forest." Bella said, putting her hand on the tree trunk and taking deep breaths.
" Isn't it nice? Strolling under the night sky with all these creatures. Shut your mouth and listen to their sounds." Seb said triggering Bella.
" No, it's not nice. I'm not here to listen to beetles' sounds and waste my time. I'm going if you have nothing else to do." Bella huffed.
" Ok. Go." Seb said and waved her goodbye. Bella stomped her foot and turned around to go back. A devil smirk appeared on Seb's face as he saw her disappearing behind the trees.
Bella was walking back from where she came while cursing Seb.
" That b*stard! What does he think of himself! I'll beat the sh*t out of him if he ever gets into my hand. May he rot in hell. Bloody Sarff!" Bella hissed. She walked like this for about another fifteen minutes but then stopped when she found that she hadn't reached the gate of the forest yet.
" Didn't we walk in this way? Why haven't I reached yet?" Bella asked herself. She unfolded the map and looked at it closely.
" Ah!! How can I understand this map!" she screamed while stomping her shoes on the ground.
" There's only trees and trees on this map. How am I going to know where I'm without any landmark!" she said, irritated. Crumbling the map and thrusting it back in the bag forcefully, she started to walk again in hope that she will find at least something or someone.
She walked and walked but couldn't know where she was going. Is she walking towards the main campus or away from it? She couldn't understand a thing. After wasting all her energy, she sat down under a tree panting hard. She wiped the sweats that had formed on her forehead from the back of her hand.
" F*cking assh*le! Damn you, Sarff! I f*cking hate you!!!" she screamed at top of her lungs. She closed her eyes and rested her head on her knees. She could only hear insects and animals' sounds. She wouldn't die here, right? Lia would try to find her when she will know that she hadn't returned from the forest yet. But, Bella couldn't wait till then, can she?
She was sitting there silently when suddenly she felt something crawling on her leg. She opened her eyes and her heart came out of her chest seeing the sight. A snake was wrapped around her left leg, sticking his tongue out and hissing.
" O-oh God! H-Help me." she whispered, her breath stuck inside her. She didn't dare to move but the snake made its way up.
" Should I play dead?" Bella asked herself and in the next second, she lay down on the earth like a corpse. She could feel the snake crawling all over her body. Her heart was racing and she couldn't help with that. She just kept on praying to God to save her life.
After a few seconds, she felt as if the snake got off her body. She opened her eyes slowly to check the surroundings to make sure that the snake went away. She again shut her eyes close when she saw that though the snake left her body, it was just beside her. She opened one eye and tried to distance herself from the snake, but, as soon as she started to move, the snake sensed it and tried to jump upon her.
" Ahh!!!" she screamed and stood up quickly, missing the snake by a few inches. She started to run in another direction as fast as she could. She saw the snake following her for minutes, but subsequently, she ran away saving her life.
" I c-can't run anymore." Bella said huffing and plopped to the ground on her knees. She was taking deep breaths when suddenly heard someone's voice from behind.
" Looks like you didn't find the way out of here." said the boy standing behind her. She got up and turned around to see Seb standing with his hands in the pocket of his black pants.
" Damn you Sebestian Sarff!" Bella yelled. She took angry steps toward him and grabbed the collar of his shirt.
" How dare you show your face to me!" Bella said, the hair on her neck standing up.
" Calm down. Why does it seem like someone stepped on a wild cat's tail?" he asked, not even a little bit intimated by Bella.
" Shut the nonsense of wild cat! I'm not a wild cat. If you don't let me~" Bella was going to say further but stopped when suddenly an announcement was heard.
" Good evening, students. It has been noticed that someone broke into the restricted area in the administration building a few moments ago. Students are requested to report if they know anything about the culprit. We will be grateful for your cooperation. We will be heading to see the restricted area now. Thank you." it announced and Bella let go of Seb's collar.
" Lia? Did she get out of that place?" Bella whispered, worried. Not even a second after, her expression changed into a hateful one. She looked at Seb and crossed her arms on her chest.
" If anything happens to her, I won't let you or Adolphus go." she said to him spitefully.
" What does it has to do with me? I wasn't the one who asked her to go to the restricted area." Seb said, infuriated with her actions.
" That doesn't mean I'll let you off the hook. Because of you, ugh, never mind. Just show the way out of here." Bella said and dusted the dirt from her jeans.
Unexpectedly this time Seb didn't say anything repulsive again and started to go back towards the main campus. Bella had already come up with a plan in her mind to make him obey her words, but, her energy was saved from another bickering.
She followed Seb and it didn't even take them five minutes to come out of the forest area.
" How do you know all the way here?" Bella asked surprised, not able to control her curiosity. Earlier when she tried to come out of the forest on her own, she couldn't find a single landmark or anything that would tell her where exactly she was going.
" I just know since I have a brain." he said and Bella gave him a nasty look.
" Don't be too ahead of yourself." Bella said to him.
" How rude is your behavior! Aren't you going to thank me since I helped you to come out of the forest?" he asked her. Bella looked at him and chuckled.
" You should be thanking me that I didn't beat you up or report you instead. God knows what those students saw in you and choose to come on your team. Poor them." Bella said and tsked.
" You little! You are lucky since I don't curse or hit girls!" Seb spat out angrily.
" But, I can curse you. So f*ck off." Bella said and walked away from him while he just stood there, his hands tightly closed in fists.
