"How boring," thought Dylan, who was lying on a blanket in the garden watching the shapes of the clouds.
"That one looks like a dog. That one looks like... Apparently, there's not much fun in watching clouds after doing it for a month. I think I'll pretend to learn to read shortly after I turn 4. Maybe there will be books with interesting stories. I also need to find a consistent way to earn Perverse Points," Dylan sighed and sat up when he saw his nanny, who had become his babysitter, approaching.
"My little Dylan, I brought you the apple pie with cream that you like so much," said the babysitter in a warm voice.
"This woman only calls me young master in front of my parents. I think she's become too attached, but I don't think I need to worry anymore. She's not a magician, and I'm a 2-Moon magician, even though no one knows it. But in this elitist and unequal world, even a 1-Moon magician is stronger than most ordinary humans," Dylan thought as he smiled charmingly when his nanny sat down next to him.
The nanny took a spoon and began feeding Dylan pieces of cake, which he seemed to enjoy.
••••
A month passed, and the nanny dressed Dylan in an elegant white suit with light blue details that made him look charmingly adorable.
When his nanny finished dressing him, he looked at himself in a full-length mirror and nodded several times.
"It looks like you like it?" asked the nanny.
"Yes, yes." Thank you," Dylan said in his sweet voice, and his nanny looked at him with a warm expression.
Shortly after, Dylan's mother entered the room, wearing a beautiful white dress tailored to her pregnant state.
"My adorable son, let's go. Your father is waiting for us in the study," Alenia said in a warm voice.
Dylan just nodded.
"Let's go see the wizard sent by the kingdom. Today is the moment to save my status and life full of privileges," Dylan thought with obvious self-interest.
••••
When he arrived at his father's study, he saw a white-haired wizard with glasses, wrinkles on his face, and pale skin, who was wearing a white and gold wizard's robe and carrying a white staff with a translucent gem on top.
The wizard and his father were each sitting in an armchair.
"Come here, little one," said the old wizard in a calm tone.
"Go, my child, we are here," said Anelia.
"That wouldn't help me calm down. Even if you're here, the only thing that would change if the wizard wants to do something is that we'll all end up dead," thought Dylan, yet he nodded with a smile.
The wizard named Wolquer took Dylan's left hand and began to use magical perception.
The wizard's face did not seem to show a favorable expression. After a few seconds, he shook his head and said in an almost solemn voice but with a cold look:
"Yes, it's true, I feel the mana in your son, but his potential is only that of a low-level 2-moon wizard."
More than cold, the look in the wizard's eyes seemed contemptuous.
"I think this could be a good opportunity," thought Dylan, and he raised his hands toward the wizard and shot a weak ball of water, inside which was a small drop of pressurized water, at the wizard's face while shouting:
"Bad... don't bother... dad... mom."
Anelia ran over, hugged Dylan, and stroked his hair.
"My little one, everything is fine," Anelia said sweetly.
The wizard stroked his chin, then said as he stared intently at the boy:
"I believe the boy has an affinity for the element of water. If you can obtain elixirs and gems of the water element, his talent can grow."

Dylan stifled a laugh as he looked with feigned shyness at the slightly cracked glass in one of the wizard's lenses. The wizard had used a magical barrier to protect himself in time, despite being taken by surprise.
"Was it an accident?" wondered the wizard, until Dylan's father asked him:
"What is the outcome? What decision will the Council of Nobles make?"
"Hmm, I think I will request that the decision be postponed until your son turns 16, if he enters the Academy as one of the 10 talents. They won't have to worry about losing their current position within the nobility.
The 10 Talents was the title given to the 10 best first-year students who entered the Celestial Academy. The places were chosen, 5 by vote of the teachers, and as Dylan knew the history, he knew that those 5 places already had owners. The other 5 places were chosen from among the 5 best in the Academy entrance tournament. The best incentive to occupy this place was the reward of your choice between: a mid-level grimoire, a mid-level elixir, a mid-level artifact, or 50,000 gold coins.
Dylan's father nodded, Dylan yawned, and his mother took him out of the study room.
"Come on, my beloved son. You must be tired after using a spontaneous spell," Anelia said warmly.
"50,000 gold coins, with that I can buy a slave in this world, and then..." Dylan thought, and then laughed childishly.

"Put the points in mana," said Dylan, walking while holding his mother's soft hand.

It was raining, just like in the novel Dylan had read. There was lightning, and it was nighttime.
Dylan was in a hallway of the mansion, sitting in a chair and swinging his feet. He was wearing a gray outfit consisting of a white shirt with a gray vest over it and gray shorts.
"Well, well, it's probably a girl. She was born on a rainy day with constant lightning," Dylan thought, staring at her little black shoes.
"Don't worry. Everything will be fine," the nanny said to Dylan, and then hugged him tenderly.
"Yes, you're right, it will be," Dylan said with a sweet expression.
"I'll have to find a way to get out of the house. There must be lots of opportunities to earn Perverse Points out there," thought Dylan, almost at the same time as a powerful bolt of lightning struck an apple tree outside the mansion.
