Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: I Was So Careful Though

His vision suddenly shifted.

Yōkō woke up gasping for breath on the bed, the sleeping proprietress Kyōi still lying beside him.

Kyōi's back was smooth and graceful.

The feeling of being alive was truly wonderful.

[Mochizuki's Arc activated!

The host has one resurrection chance per month. Upon death, you will resurrect on the previous full moon night.

Reward: One lottery draw opportunity.

1 - A-Rank Sealing Jutsu: Self-Cursing Body Binding Seal (Beginner);

2 - Chunin-level Chakra Reserve (Stackable);

3 - Ninja Sword Technique (Beginner).]

While caressing Kyōi's slender waist and beautiful back, enjoying his rebirth, Yōkō made his choice.

Ninja Sword Technique (Beginner) was a very practical option.

Next, when escorting Uzumaki Yuka's squad, the Kumo-nin they encountered were all skilled in sword techniques.

If he were also proficient in sword techniques, he could predict their movements, gain an advantage in taijutsu clashes, and not die by a ninja sword like last time.

Chakra reserve, especially a stackable one, was also very practical.

His current chakra reserve was Chunin-level. Without any bloodline abilities, his chakra growth wasn't rapid like a genius's.

If he used the original story's Kakashi's chakra as a unit, his own chakra was probably only 0.1 Kaka.

In the end, Yōkō chose the first reward.

Who could refuse an A-rank difficulty sealing jutsu?

Jutsu rank didn't represent power, only the difficulty of mastery.

The Uzumaki clan's Self-Cursing Body Binding Seal had a very good effect.

The severely injured Uzumaki Yuka had completely controlled two Kumo-nin with it.

After gaining a basic understanding, Yōkō grasped the principle of this sealing jutsu.

Through contact, or by pre-setting it at the feet, the enemy could be hit by the sealing jutsu.

The sealing curse would lock all the enemy's joints, rendering them immobile.

The system reward was the Beginner level Self-Cursing Body Binding Seal. When set on the ground, its effective range was within 2 meters.

Strong control, and an extremely concealed trap.

Not bad, not bad. Finally had a second jutsu.

Yōkō went to the window, glanced back at Kyōi's back and legs, jumped down, and disappeared into Konoha's dawn.

While changing equipment in the squad locker room, Captain Antelope found it a bit strange.

For some reason, Fox had given him an extra look today.

Yōkō was resentful inside. In his previous life, when he died, Captain Antelope showed no intention of saving his teammates, turning and leaving immediately.

If he couldn't resurrect, he would have died like a weed in the wheat field, utterly worthless.

This time, Yōkō decided to save the three Uzumaki ninja. Only by keeping them combat-effective could they possibly deal with the two Kumo-nin squads.

He knew the plot very well. Their squad found Uzumaki Yuka's squad in the Land of Waves.

This time, Yōkō brought better medicine in advance and bandaged Uzumaki Yuka's wounds more carefully.

Uzumaki Yuka was deeply moved.

Uzushiogakure was truly fortunate to have allies like the Senju and Konoha.

The Anbu before her wore a mask, but she could feel his care.

To ensure the bandaging was effective, the bandage was wrapped deep into Uzumaki Yuka's thigh.

Uzumaki Yuka had to spread her legs wider, which made her somewhat shy.

Her legs were long and straight. Yōkō had a few stray thoughts, but not many.

These three Uzumaki ninja needed to step up! They couldn't just die simply, otherwise he wouldn't survive either.

After carefully bandaging the leg wound, he also bandaged the wound on Uzumaki Yuka's hand.

Uzumaki Yuka peered past the mask, seeing a pair of handsome eyes, and said softly, "Thank you."

"You're welcome."

"I heard your captain call you Fox. What's your real name?"

"Confidential."

Uzumaki Yuka felt a bit regretful. This Anbu was so serious, he wouldn't even tell her his real name.

If she went to Konoha village in the future, she wouldn't know where to find him.

After entering the Land of Whirlpools, Yōkō was more nervous than anyone.

Especially when walking on the path between the wheat fields.

Recalling the scenes from his previous life, Yōkō found the reference point and located the explosive tag trap.

The Kumo-nin were very strong, hiding flawlessly. It was unknown how many days in advance they had hidden here.

Pulling three shuriken from his tool pouch, Yōkō threw them far into the depths of the roadside wheat stalks.

Everyone else looked at Yōkō bewildered, not knowing what he was doing.

The next instant, the explosive tag detonated!

So Yōkō had discovered the explosive tag trap.

Captain Antelope couldn't help but give Fox an extra glance. Fox's observation skills were quite good; he actually spotted the explosive tag, even he hadn't noticed it.

"Ambush!"

Eight Kumo-nin stood up from the wheat field. Instantly, kunai and shuriken flew everywhere.

Yōkō followed Uzumaki Yuka, charging into the wheat field.

A Kumo-nin raised his sword, slashing fiercely at Uzumaki Yuka.

Uzumaki Yuka had already formed three hand seals in advance, then raised her kunai to block.

Clang! After the sound, the Kumo-nin suddenly froze.

The struggle between the ninja sword and kunai abruptly stopped. Cursed seals appeared on the Kumo-nin's body – the Self-Cursing Body Binding Seal!

Yōkō watched intently from the side.

So that's how it was. This sealing jutsu was so practical in actual combat.

The immobilized Kumo-nin was stabbed to death by Uzumaki Yuka's kunai.

Another Kumo-nin charged at Yōkō.

While blocking the ninja sword, Yōkō lured the Kumo-nin next to Uzumaki Yuka.

After Uzumaki Yuka lent a hand, Yōkō also successfully stabbed the Kumo-nin in front of him to death.

His decision was so brilliant. Saving Uzumaki Yuka really did increase his survival chances.

A Kumo-nin squad leader targeted Uzumaki Yuka.

Seeing the keen interest in the Kumo-nin squad leader's eyes, Yōkō pretended to go help Purple Cat, quickly backing away.

Better not get caught in a fight between squad leaders.

Killing one Kumo-nin already fulfilled his KPI. The rest was just slacking off.

If he could catch one, he would. If not, he'd just keep slacking.

Yōkō jumped around Purple Cat, looking very busy, but in reality, he was just intimidating Purple Cat's opponent, not really doing much.

Even so, Purple Cat's pressure was greatly reduced, and he gained more and more advantage in the taijutsu exchange with the Kumo-nin.

Seeing Purple Cat wound the Kumo-nin, Yōkō quickly stepped forward. Together with Purple Cat, they attacked from left and right, stabbing the Kumo-nin to death.

They glanced at each other, feeling a bit more like teammates.

Just then, a woman's scream came from behind.

Uzumaki Yuka was kicked flying by the Kumo-nin squad leader, two more sword wounds on her body.

Yōkō thought, Damn, this woman is hopeless! I helped you so much, and you still can't let me coast? Was my help for nothing?

The Kumo-nin squad leader wasn't much better off, a kunai stuck in his abdomen, bleeding. He pressed the advantage, charging forward to finish off the fallen Uzumaki Yuka.

Uzumaki Yuka formed hand seals with both hands, using the Self-Cursing Body Binding Seal with all her might.

The Kumo-nin squad leader's sword was already descending, only 30 centimeters from Uzumaki Yuka's wrist, when he was bound by the cursed seals, unable to move a muscle.

He trembled, extracting his last ounce of strength, wanting to chop off this female ninja's wrist and remove her ability to resist.

Purple Cat, seeing the sword wounds on Uzumaki Yuka, judged that she no longer had value to protect.

He charged over, kunai aimed straight for Uzumaki Yuka's throat, intent on killing her.

Yōkō thought, Oh no! Uzumaki Yuka is still useful! If she dies, won't I still not survive?

He and Purple Cat together couldn't beat the Kumo-nin squad leader.
