"One last thing before we all leave…"
Matsuo Yamamoto, the chief of the Shinigami Soldiers raised his voice, silencing the crowd who listened in.
Once all attention had been diverted to him, he faintly smiled.
"It's Liohime Kitagami's birthday today. He's now officially eighteen years old."
With a pause that lasted a few seconds, most of the group then faced the shy, fidgeting boy who sat and nervously waved.
The youngest of them all, Liohime Kitagami, had aged up.
Once saying his piece, Matsuo said, "Alright, you're all dismissed," and quickly made his exit, while Bica, Ophiel and Leah pretty much clamored to congratulate him.
"Happy birthday, man! Now you can drink and smoke for real, huh?"
"Ahahaha….yeah, I uh…already did that…"
"Happy birthday, Lio. You got plans for today? We should celebrate."
"Ah…I do have plans, unfortunately. I won't say no to a drink or two at the bar, though-mff!!"
