Chapter 113 - Chapter 113: Thor's Lesson

Chapter 113: Thor's Lesson

Moria's face was livid, his pupils contracting violently as rage consumed him.

"This is my territory! You're too arrogant!! Do you think I'm a pushover?!"

He threw his arms wide, manipulating the countless shadows pouring from the ground, the cracks in the walls, and the zombie corpses. They swirled into a frenzy in mid-air, forming dozens of massive, pitch-black shadow spears. The air itself seemed to shudder!

"Black Box: Shadow Spears!!!"

The spears shrieked through the air, dense as rain, stabbing toward Enel from all directions!

Enel just floated there, arms crossed, a small smirk on his lips. His golden eyes flashed with disdain.

"...Boring."

He raised a hand, and lightning gathered in his palm, instantly turning the world dark.

"Divine Judgment: Thor's Hammer!"

"BOOM—!!!"

A blinding pillar of lightning crashed down from the heavens, instantly turning the entire area of shadow spears into charcoal and vaporizing them!

Moria gritted his teeth and retreated. Behind him—

Hogback had already taken the opportunity to flee, scurrying into the shadows of the ruins like a rat.

Absalom, meanwhile, had gone invisible, sneaking toward Enel's back, hoping for a surprise attack.

"...Hmph. Invisibility?"

Enel didn't even turn around. His tone was scornful. "Without Haki, what good is being invisible?"

He raised two fingers, electricity crackling at the tips!

"Thunder Finger: Flash!"

ZAP!!!

The lightning bolt struck a precise point in empty air!

"GYAAAAHHH—!!!"

Absalom screamed as he was forced out of invisibility, his body scorched and twitching as he collapsed, smoke rising from his mouth and nose.

Enel glanced at him. "To my Mantra, you might as well be running around naked."

He sneered, his gaze locking back onto Moria.

Moria was enraged, blood vessels bursting in his eyes!

"DAMN MARINE—!!! DO YOU REALLY THINK I'M USELESS?!!!"

He bit his thumb, blood dripping onto the floor, and roared as he unleashed the full power of his shadows: "Shadow's Asgard!!"

"RUMBLE—!!!"

The entire foundation of Thriller Bark shook!

Countless shadows swarmed and were swallowed into his body. His form began to swell rapidly, bones cracking and muscles bulging like rocks!

In seconds, Moria had transformed into a hundred-meter-tall shadow giant, blotting out the sky, his face twisted in a maniacal grin. His aura was like an awakened demon!

"I'M GOING TO CRUSH YOU INTO PASTE!!!!"

He raised a hand the size of a building, bringing it down on Enel with devastating pressure!

Enel, however, just yawned, looking bored and annoyed.

"...So you got big. So what?"

He slowly looked up, his eyes turning completely cold.

He spread his arms, and golden lightning exploded around him, forming a halo like a thunder god's domain!

"200 Million Volts: Amaru (Thunder God)!!"

"BOOM—!!!"

The entire sky was covered in thunderclouds! Lightning poured down like a waterfall, a tidal wave of electricity crashing onto the shadow giant!

"AAAAAAHHHH—!!!!"

Thunder rolled like war drums. Moria's body convulsed violently in the sea of lightning, the shadows literally shocked out of his body, dissipating into ash in the air!

Seconds later, his massive body collapsed, crashing into the scorched ruins, completely incapacitated!

Residual lightning still crackled in the air, like the lingering wrath of a god!

Thriller Bark was in ruins. Walls collapsed, the ground cracked, and hundreds of zombies were vaporized by the lightning!

Moria struggled to lift his head from the debris, charred black, his eyes unfocused. "What... what do you want?!"

Enel walked over slowly, a spear of white-hot lightning forming in his hand, pointed at Moria's chest.

"Roy told me to give you a message."

"'If you ever use civilians for experiments again... next time, he will come.'"

KRA-KOOM—!!!

The lightning spear pierced Moria's chest, electricity exploding from his back!

"GYAAAAH—!!!"

With a final scream, Moria's massive body collapsed again, unconscious, black smoke pouring from his mouth.

"Boring farce."

Enel turned away, the lightning fading. His golden eyes held only boredom and impatience. He yawned. "Let's go, Moss-head."

Zoro shouldered his new sword, Shusui, scanning the ruins. The castle was burnt to a crisp, smoke rising from the rubble. Moria's massive body lay half-buried, twitching.

Zoro's mouth twitched. "Are you... really a Marine?"

Enel raised an eyebrow and smirked. "What? Marines can't fry trash into charcoal?"

"No..." Zoro rubbed his temples. "It's just... you act more like a villain than the pirates."

Enel shrugged, then wrinkled his nose, looking at Moria with disgust. "By the way, this 'Seven Warlords' thing... do they let any trash in? Can you really be a Warlord without even knowing Haki?"

Zoro shook his head. "Big Bro Roy said there are real monsters among them. Like Hawk-Eye Mihawk and Bartholomew Kuma..."

"Hmph. I'd like to see them sometime," Enel sneered, a flicker of interest in his eyes.

As they chatted, Enel summoned a thundercloud to carry him. Zoro was about to follow when he glanced back. He saw Hogback sneaking out of the rubble, directing a few broken zombies to drag the charred Moria and the half-dead Absalom away.

"Hey," Zoro raised an eyebrow. "Leaving them alive? Doesn't seem like your style."

Enel leaned back on his cloud, hands behind his head. "The zombies were fried to ash, so the shadows will return to their owners naturally."

He glanced at Hogback. "Besides... Roy's order was to 'teach a lesson,' not 'exterminate.'"

Zoro nodded thoughtfully.

The next second, lightning wrapped around them, and they shot into the sky, disappearing into the clouds.

In the ruins...

Hogback wiped cold sweat from his brow, adjusting his crooked glasses as he frantically ordered the zombies, "Quick! Get Lord Moria inside!"

The zombies stumbled, and one slipped—CRACK!—stepping through the burnt floorboards.

"BOOM!!"

A precarious wall collapsed, kicking up a cloud of dust!

Hogback stood frozen in the dust cloud for a long moment before screaming, "IS THIS PLACE EVEN LIVEABLE ANYMORE?!?"

Nearby, the scorched Absalom raised a weak hand. "B-Boss... maybe we should... find a new base..."

Moria, still unconscious, mumbled in his sleep, "Kaido... Roy... Enel... why are they all monsters..."

Hogback wept. "We're doomed... the reconstruction budget just tripled!!"

Far away - On the return journey

Enel stood at the bow of the warship, his robes flapping in the wind. The storm clouds had cleared, leaving the sky bright.

Zoro leaned against the railing, polishing Shusui. The blade gleamed coldly in the sun.

He looked up, his voice unusually serious. "Hey, Enel."

"Hmm?"

"Thanks," Zoro said simply. "Even if your personality is terrible... you really helped out back there."

Enel paused, then grinned mockingly. "Oh? So the Moss-head can speak human language?"

"You bastard—!" A vein popped on Zoro's forehead.

But Enel's smile faded as he looked out at the horizon. "If you want to thank someone, thank Roy."

"If he hadn't ordered it, I wouldn't have bothered helping you find a sword."

Zoro was silent for a moment, then smirked. "Yeah... I know."

The warship cut through the waves, heading toward Marineford. behind them, Thriller Bark sank back into the fog and silence.
