Chapter 4 - A Day With Aurora-Paid Simulation...

After a night of battle, Adam and his girlfriend, Aurora, slept peacefully. They were exhausted from the intense passion of the previous night.

Time passed swiftly. Feeling the slight rays of sunlight on his eyes, Adam squinted and gradually opened them.

The first thing that caught his eye was the slightly opened window, through which streams of sunlight poured in.

He glanced around and didn't see Aurora. Just then, a peculiar scent entered his nose.

'It seems she's cooking breakfast?' Adam guessed, then stood up and stretched.

He did some light exercise for a few minutes and then entered the shower to take his bath.

After he was done, he glanced at his reflection in the mirror, combing his hair lightly.

He was an extremely handsome youth with silver hair that shimmered faintly like diamonds. With a pair of deep blue, jewel-like eyes and a straight, clean jaw, Adam considered himself to be among the best mankind had to offer.

After admiring his reflection for a few minutes, he walked out of his room and towards the kitchen.

There, Aurora was lightly preparing breakfast. With an apron tied to her waist, she looked like the perfect housewife.

From afar, Adam couldn't help but admire her. He walked up to her and wrapped his arm around her waist, then gave her a light, passionate morning kiss.

"Good morning, love," Aurora said with a sweet smile. Despite the scent of spices that lingered faintly around her, it couldn't suppress the flowery fragrance she emitted.

"Good morning, what are you preparing for us?" Adam asked curiously, separating from her and finding a place to sit down as he watched her prepare the meal.

Aurora seemed to be in a joyful mood as she smiled sweetly, replying, "Of course, it's a delicacy to celebrate your awakening."

Adam raised a brow. He glanced around and noticed a few steaming dishes arranged neatly on the table.

It was just as she had said, it was a delicacy, ranging from steaks to beef meat, to even awakened beasts' meat and ingredients that had been slightly tampered with by mana.

The scent was overwhelming, and Adam couldn't help but gulp lightly.

While Aurora wasn't looking, he reached out and picked a piece of steak, placing it in his mouth. It was tender and juicy and contained the faint warmth of the fire.

The juices spread through his mouth, and he couldn't help but sneakily take another one.

Aurora suddenly cleared her throat. Seeing that he had been caught, Adam chuckled lightly.

"Go and stay at the dining table while I serve the dishes…"

Adam nodded at her words, and in no time, this school beauty had completely served everything.

The meal was hearty, and after they had gone halfway, Aurora briefly hesitated. Then, a wave of light silvery light flashed in her hand, and she handed Adam a scroll.

"This contains all three paths of cultivation for an awakened… don't reject it."

Adam was startled, turning his gaze to the old, worn-out book. He raised his eyes to look at Aurora's.

Her alexandrite eyes contained a hint of calmness. Seeing this gaze, Adam knew that declining her offer would only cause her to be displeased with him.

He sighed faintly, "Babe, you don't have to do this…"

Aurora was from one of the greatest awakener noble families in history. It was said that her ancestors were one of the first awakened, and the awakening blood flowed through her veins.

It was because of this that she had awakened early on at the age of sixteen, passed her entrance examination, and was already at her second year in the university.

It was still a mystery how his predecessor had scored her heart, so much so that she was even willing to give him such a precious document.

Adam knew that getting a cultivation manual that belonged to one path of cultivation already cost nothing less than $100,000, so getting one that contained all three paths of cultivation must have an exorbitant price.

He couldn't help but feel touched.

'Damn, now I really have to marry her…' his thoughts moved slightly.

Adam placed the cultivation manual to the side, and replied, "Thanks, babe. I will study it later. How has school been? You should be returning back in four months, right?"

Aurora exhaled a breath, seeing that Adam accepted her gift.

'I really thought he wouldn't accept it… then I'll have to play that card,' she sighed helplessly. However, a sweet smile soon graced her lips as she heard his question asking about her welfare.

"There has been no news from school. As for the missions given to us to solve during the break, I'm still making some preparations. When I'm done preparing, I and a few other awakeners from my class will head to an origin realm or capture a heretic."

Hearing her words, Adam felt worry settle into his heart. He paused from his meal, raised his brows, and asked, "Will you be alright?"

Aurora's smile faltered for a bit. But soon she nodded, "Of course, besides, there's my guards who will be coming along… I have nothing to worry about."

Adam nodded at her words, feeling relieved.

"I noticed Lily who lives next door casting flirtatious looks towards you… you really don't have anything going on between you two, right?" Changing the topic, Aurora suddenly asked.

The question threw Adam off guard, and he couldn't help but choke on his food.

Aurora quickly rushed with a cup of water, giving it to him to drink. She apologized profusely, and only when Adam constantly waved her off did she finally return back to her meal, her eyes still filled with worry.

After the meal, Aurora had to go out for a bit to continue with her preparations for her school mission.

Just as she was going, she turned to Adam and tossed him a stone. It was a mana stone, and with the faint cracks and darkened spots around it, it was obvious it wasn't one of high grade.

"This is a low-grade mana stone. It should be enough for you to step into the first stage of cultivation." She hugged Adam tightly and then swiftly departed, leaving the dazed Adam.

Adam's mind moved to the mana stone, and then to the cultivation manual she had given him. Then, it wandered back to the… Life Simulator.

'Surely I shouldn't, right…' Adam tried to dissuade himself, but his thoughts were already moving towards the glowing blue panel in front of him.
