Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 – The Birth of Nox

The battlefield was burning.Corpses of beasts smoldered under the crimson sky, the air filled with the scent of ash and steel.

From the smoke, a man emerged.

He was tall, broad-shouldered, and graceful in motion — his hair now jet black, his eyes glowing like twin crimson embers beneath a wolf-mouth mask. The body that once belonged to the weak sealing mage, Nova Loid, now radiated overwhelming power.

Those who saw him felt a chill run down their spine, yet deep within, they sensed something else — safety. The aura of a protector cloaked in darkness.

No one recognized him.No one even suspected that this black-haired warrior was once the timid boy they had mocked.

Nova could feel it — their confusion, their fear, their hope.Perfect, he thought. No one knows it's me.

With silent confidence, he dashed forward. Each movement was a blur of red light and fire.Every strike from his sword burned through beasts like molten lightning. He was no longer fighting to survive — he was hunting.

At the village entrance, the summoner stood proudly on a pile of rubble, eyes gleaming with malice. The summoning circle beneath him pulsed violently, shaking the ground.

From the portal, something colossal stepped through — a magma golem, molten veins glowing across its rocky frame. The air around it shimmered from the heat.

Its eyes, deep and burning, stared down at the summoner.

"Are you the one who summoned us, human?"

The summoner, trembling but proud, lifted his staff.

"Y-yes! I summoned you to destroy this village! Make them suffer!"

The magma beast tilted its head, then chuckled — a low, thunderous sound that rattled the air.

"So… a lowly human dares to summon me… for a village? Such a small ambition."

The summoner frowned. "What do you mean?"

"You should have summoned me to destroy kingdoms, not toys."

The summoner's confidence cracked. "That's impossible! There are adventurers far beyond your level—"

But before he could finish, the magma beast roared.

"Who needs your permission, insect?"

The beast's molten claws reached out, piercing through the summoner's chest. The man screamed, his body trembling as molten rock spread through his veins.

"You wanted power," the magma beast growled."Then become my vessel."

The summoner's body convulsed, his flesh hardening, merging with the beast's lava shell until both became one towering monster — a Magma Entity, radiating heat and madness.

With a single wave of his arm, he roared,

"ALL BEASTS — CHARGE!"

Hundreds of creatures howled, turning their focus toward the village center where Walter fought desperately.

Nova saw it from afar.Walter was surrounded — dozens of beasts closing in.

He clenched his fist. "Damn it… I can't reach him in time."

Then, out of the corner of his eye, he saw a 3-Star Wind Mage, casting a Tornado Spell to fend off enemies. An idea sparked.

Nova's red eyes glowed brighter as he shouted,

"Wind mage! Focus your tornado under me — now!"

The mage froze. His body refused to resist that command. The fiery eyes of the masked stranger radiated authority beyond reason.

Without understanding why, the wind mage obeyed. He aimed the spell beneath Nova's feet.

A sudden burst of air erupted.

WHOOOSH!

Nova was launched high into the air like a blazing arrow, spinning through smoke and embers.

Above the battlefield, the scene unfolded below him — the burning village, the roaring magma beast, the endless monsters tearing through everything. The wind whipped through his black hair as he whispered,

"Let's end this."

He descended like a falling comet, landing between Walter and the army of beasts.

The ground exploded under his feet.Flames spread outward, forcing the enemies back.

Walter, stunned, raised his sword. "Who… who are you?"

Through the smoke and flame, Nova looked at him — silent, unreadable. For a moment, he thought of the days he was bullied, ignored, and left behind.

Then, a smirk crept behind the mask.

"My name?"

He paused as his crimson eyes blazed like fire.

"It's NOX."
