Chapter 7 - Otherworldly

"Otherworldly… What's otherworldly about his defence?"

Dabura closed the holographic screen and sharpened his gaze at Japaloma. He corrected his relaxed posture, straightening his body and sitting attentively. Outstretching his palms, he rested them on the throne's armrest.

"According to what I saw, he had a kind of invisible barrier around him. And I think we can't break it through sheer force."

"What about Cross? Does his gravity disharmony affect him?" Dabura rested his chin on his hand, tilling head slightly.

"He can't defeat him. Even his speed is multiple times greater than him." Japaloma replied, turning his head toward Cross.

Cross's glance met Japaloma's who was looking at him with a disappointed face.

"I wasn't defeated, I just…"

"Don't argue Cross. It's alright. How are you supposed to defeat someone stronger than yourself?" Dabura interrupted him.

There is no doubt that Cross has immense power, but how will he defeat someone, if the opponent's speed is multiple times more than you and you can't even perceive his motion?

Cross never got any chance to attack Hojo, it was just he got defeated before he could realise. He is arguing because he's still not sure that Hojo is stronger than him.

"Japaloma, what happened about supercomputers and AI systems? I told you to get here." Dabura asked.

"I have already sent a request to the government and I think they will not reject it."

Dabura wanted supercomputers and AI systems because it would be a great way to devour all the info about this new planet in a little time. Dabura's technique— spiritual formation was a special ability that allowed him to summon someone's soul inside his own body.

Exactly, it wasn't summoning souls, it was like creating a replica of someone. If Dabura has more than enough information about someone's personality, behaviour, habits and desires, he could create an exact replica of his personality or soul.

"I saw something interesting about the history of this planet through this small device." Dabura stood from his throne, and continued, "These humans weren't weak as they seem now. Decades ago, there were individuals who were extremely and exceptionally stronger. And the most interesting thing I saw in them was their special technique DOMAIN EXPANSION."

"Domain expansion?" Both Cross and Japaloma whispered at the same time as this word was unknown but it has an undeniable aura.

"It's a unique technique that can manipulate reality around you. Inside a domain, you can do anything. You are only supreme."

Without showing any kind of surprised or curious expression, they continued to hear.

"Soon, I'll be able to use those techniques. And…"

Dabura raised his hand and an evil smile started to emerge over his face, as he stretched his palm and closed it instantly, his actions syncing with his words: "this planet would be our!."

"Hmm… so this is that training centre. It's huge."

Hojo stared around at open space which extends to hundreds of metres. The floor and walls were covered with white tiles, with a single door in each 4 walls. Hojo raised his head to see above, but it was the same as the floor.

"It's like I'm trapped in a white box. But why are there four entrances here?!"

Hojo glanced at each gate one by one until he stopped at the centre of this hall. Two bodyguards dressed in black coats behind him gave a band to Hojo. There was a red light beeping on it, the whole band illuminating with blue light in a linear path on the band, which covered the edges of it.

"What's this?" Hojo questioned as he took the band from a bodyguard's hand and tried to put his hands through it. But after a failure, he instinctively put it on his wrist and abruptly, the band opened and snapped shut around it.

"It will constantly record your movement data, heart rate and many other things and will send real time data to us." A bodyguard spoke, his voice heavy and formally full of responsibilities.

After that, both bodyguards moved forward to leave the training centre. But Hojo was alone there, so, "Where are other people?" He asked.

Without turning back, one of the bodyguards answered that soon, they would also be there.

At the same time when both bodyguards left the hall, the opposite door opened and a woman came out of it who was dressed in a steel sci-fi armour which clung to her body. Her green long hair

She seemed to have no weapon at all, but there was a metal crow on his shoulder, its eyes glowing red.
