Mankey grinned as he approached, staring at Brock.
"Are you hungry? These are really delicious rice balls," Brock offered, holding out the rice ball in his hand.
Mankey sniffed it, then picked up the rice ball, jumped onto a large rock in front of him, and began to eat it.
"He seems to really like it; he's eating happily," Alex said, watching Mankey.
"Of course! I made it using the best ingredients," Brock replied contentedly.
"It's indeed excellent. What a powerful Fighting-type Pokémon," Ash said, reaching for the Poké Ball at his side.
"Wait, Ash! Are you really going to throw a Poké Ball the moment you meet him? That might not be appropriate, and it won't be easy to catch him," Alex advised.
"I won't let this opportunity escape! Go, Poké Ball!" Ash declared, ignoring the advice and throwing the Poké Ball directly.
Seeing this, Mankey threw the rice ball in his hand, hitting the Poké Ball.
"Ah? Catch the rice ball..." Ash said, looking bewildered at the rice ball in his hand.
Alex's face was covered in black lines, watching Ash speechlessly.
At that moment, Mankey's eyes suddenly turned red, and he angrily waved his hands.
"Look, it seems we've angered him," Misty said worriedly.
"It's all your fault, Ash! I told you not to throw the Poké Ball first!" Alex said, taking out his Pokédex and wanting to see if there was a solution, careful not to reveal the items in the system.
"Mankey is usually docile, but he is easily angered by small things. Once he loses his temper, he's very difficult to deal with."
"Difficult to deal with is..." Suddenly, they saw Mankey rushing towards Alex and the others at a rapid pace, and at that moment, they could only run.
"Who told you to interrupt his meal? You should take responsibility, Ash!" Misty shouted angrily as she ran.
"It's too late to say that now!"
"The resentment of having your meal interrupted—that's truly terrifying," Alex said indignantly, recalling how in his previous life, his meal was constantly interrupted by phone calls, and he would just slam the phone down.
"Perhaps the only thing that can calm him down now is a rice ball. Let me try," Brock said.
"Go, my Poké Ball! Oh, no, I said it wrong—go, my rice ball!" Brock finished, throwing the rice ball toward Mankey.
However, Mankey didn't care at all; he smashed the rice ball with a punch and continued to charge forward.
Mankey had already rushed past Misty and Alex, charging straight into Ash's face, delivering a punch before snatching Ash's hat and racing up a tree.
Alex watched as Ash collapsed to the ground after being hit, and he couldn't help but sigh inwardly. As expected of a Fighting-type brawler, he was really ruthless.
"Ash, are you okay? You were beaten so badly this time; are you alright?" Misty said, worriedly.
"Your hat was snatched away, Ash," Alex pointed out, indicating the jumping Mankey on the tree.
"He seems to really like your hat," Misty observed, watching Mankey happily wearing the hat.
"I must make him give it back to me!" Ash shouted, hugging the tree trunk and trying to climb up.
"Forget it, Ash! You were just beaten terribly," Alex said, waving his hand.
"No!" Ash roared defiantly.
"Why are you so stubborn?" Misty said speechlessly.
"That hat is my treasure! That's an important hat I got from the Pokémon League Grand Prize Event."
"Pokémon League Grand Prize, huh?" Alex rubbed his head in confusion.
"Could it be that event where the Pokémon League produced only 100 limited edition hats as prizes?" Brock recalled.
"Yes, there was such an event," Misty nodded in agreement.
"It's so rare; I really want one too," Alex said after hearing Brock and the others' description.
"I also sent out postcards; why didn't I get one?" Misty asked, puzzled.
"To get that hat, I sent out 1,000 postcards," Ash shouted from the tree.
"I only sent out one; no wonder I didn't win," Misty said, sticking out her tongue.
"In that case, I understand. Men will be passionate about such things; Ash is indeed a man!" Alex said admiringly, looking at the determined Ash.
By the time Ash climbed to the top of the tree, he was knocked down again by Mankey.
At that moment, Team Rocket suddenly appeared. Mankey curiously looked at the three of them but was kicked away by James.
Alex laughed at the sight; it seemed they didn't even need to deal with Team Rocket.
"Hurry up and hand over all your Pokémon, especially that one—Ye Chen! His Pokémon are all very powerful!" Jessie demanded.
"I think you should worry about your own safety rather than others'," Brock said slowly.
"What?" Meowth asked, puzzled.
"Mankey, you idiot," Alex said mockingly.
"Ah, Mankey! Now that you mention it, it seems I kicked something just now," James said, looking back.
He found Mankey glowing white all over; it had evolved, and its entire body had grown several times larger. Its head was throbbing with veins, its fists had become huge, and it wore training steel rings on its wrists and ankles.
"Primeape, the evolved form of Mankey, is always angry. Once it targets someone, it will cling to them until death."
"It has nothing to do with us! We're just here to steal your Pokémon. Go, Ekans! Koffing!" James commanded, preparing to attack.
Just then, Mankey threw a punch from behind, sending Jessie flying.
They heard Jessie's scream as she flew over their heads and crashed into a large rock behind them.
"Ekans! Koffing! Change of orders! Go and take down this Primeape!" Jessie shouted angrily.
What followed was a chaotic fight, with the entire area enveloped in dust as stars occasionally spun around.
Meanwhile, Pikachu tried to secretly retrieve Ash's hat but was discovered by Primeape, who snatched it back.
Pikachu angrily used Thunderbolt, hitting Primeape squarely.
Primeape began to close its eyes and stomp in place, looking very furious.
"Look at Primeape's expression and movements; could it be hoping to be loved?" Alex pondered.
"Think about it; it was chased and caught while eating and then kicked. It's not surprising that it's angry. I think it must want to have friends," Brock explained, stepping forward toward Primeape.
As expected, he was mercilessly beaten by Primeape and sent flying.
At this moment, the Pokédex rang. "Primeape's ultimate move is Outrage. Once it goes on a rampage, it will cause great chaos."
"Ash, quickly battle him! Defeat him and then catch him!" Alex shouted.
"Squirtle, use Water Gun to cool his head!" Ash commanded.
Primeape was completely unaffected.
"Bulbasaur, Razor Leaf!" Ash shouted next.
Primeape blocked all the leaves with its punches.
"Charmander, Flamethrower!" Ash yelled.
Primeape quickly dodged all attacks and then used Dynamic Punch on Charmander.
After that, the flame on Charmander's tail suddenly grew larger.
"That's rage! The more damage it takes, the greater its power becomes! Ash, seize the opportunity!" Alex urged.
"Okay! Maximum power Flamethrower!" Ash commanded.
"Beedrill, use Agility to get Ash's hat back!" Alex instructed.
By the time Beedrill retrieved Ash's hat, Primeape had already lost its ability to battle from that powerful Flamethrower and was successfully caught by Ash.
"Look, that's the city ahead! This is all thanks to Primeape!" Misty exclaimed in surprise, pointing forward.
"Alright, let's hurry to Rainbow City," Alex said after handing Ash his hat.
And what awaited Alex and the others in Rainbow City?
