Chapter 3 - The Trial of the Dragon’s Vein

The air around me cracked, and the golden light spiraled into a storm of ancient symbols.

My breath was heavy, yet my heart pounded like the war drums of forgotten gods.

From the center of the glowing seal, a pillar of celestial light erupted — shaping itself into a massive gate.

It pulsed with power… the sacred scent of blood and the weight of time itself.

> "The Dragon's Trial…?"

I whispered, my voice trembling.

But before I could move, footsteps echoed.

A man stepped from the shadows — his armor forged from dragon scales, his eyes burning with eternal flame.

> "Bearer of the Wolf's Bloodline…" he said, his tone like thunder, "that was merely your beginning."

"To walk the Path of Celestial Lineages, you must prove yourself before the Blood of the Heavenly Dragon."

He raised his spear and struck the ground.

The temple shook — and the floor turned into a sea of radiant blue energy.

From within that storm, countless dragons of light rose, circling above me, their roars splitting the heavens.

Each dragon was a trial, a test of will and blood.

I closed my eyes.

The power of the Crimson Wolf stirred within me.

Then I ran — straight toward the first dragon.

Its fangs clashed with my spirit spear.

The air exploded.

My veins burned, my body screamed, but my gaze never wavered.

I wasn't fighting to survive —

I was fighting to dominate.

With every strike, golden symbols appeared across my skin — ancient runes merging, connecting, and reshaping my very soul.

> "The Dragon's Blood is not for the fearful…"

"It belongs to those who devour fear itself."

I roared, my voice tearing through the storm,

and hurled my spear toward the heavens.

The weapon pierced the final dragon's heart —

and the sky itself burst into golden light.

When I fell to the ground, my body trembled, but deep within… I felt it.

A new pulse.

A heavenly force awakening in my veins.

The Dragon's Bloodline had accepted me.

And then, that voice returned — deeper now, carrying divine authority.

> "Impressive… You are no mere collector of bloodlines…"

"You may yet become… the Heir of Heaven."

I lifted my gaze to the shattered sky, golden light swirling above me, and whispered:

> "This… is only the first step."
