At 3 AM, jina awoke to the sound of something faint—a light tap on her window. Half dazed, she checked the time, then glanced at her phone. Nothing unusual, just a couple of unread messages from her best friend, minji. She unlocked the phone, thinking it was another one of minji's late-night memes or random rants about her boyfriend.
But instead, the messages were strange.
"I see you. Don't look outside"
Jina froze, her fingers still on the screen. She pulled her blankets closer, heart pounding. Her eyes drifted to the window,and she fought the urge to look, remembering Minji's warning.
The phone buzzed again.
"Please. Don't open the window"
Now, fear took root. Her breath quickened. What the hell was going on? Minji was always the one to joke around, but this was… different.
Jina's hand hovered over the window curtain, her body urging her to check, but her mind screamed not to.
Seconds later, the phone buzzed once more.
Jina didn't even want to look. But she did.
"I can see you in the reflection"
Her heart stopped.
Jina turned slowly, terrified and glanced into thr mirror hanging on her bedroom wall.
She was not alone.
In the reflection, standing directly behind her, was a dark figure, it's hollow eyes locked onto her.
No one else was in the room. No one but jina... and the thing in the mirror.
She dropped her phone on the floor, racing to her door, but her feet felt heavy, like they were sinking into the carpet.
Then the figure in the mirror… smiled.
