Chapter 21 - Expansion (6)

(Info: Some Abilties Yujhae have Wouldn't be used for long)

Three weeks had passed since the Suwon alliance had been activated. Phoenix's influence in Suwon was steadily growing; clubs were operational, restaurants were thriving, and Yujhae's security team had established dominance in key areas. Yet Yujhae's mind was never idle. Territory was never enough — ambition required expansion.

He sat in a private room of one of the Suwon King's offices, a glass wall overlooking the city. The hum of neon outside was steady, calming, almost meditative, but Yujhae's thoughts were anything but calm.

The King of Suwon, a tall man with a composed demeanor, lounged across from him, sipping tea. His eyes, sharp and calculating, followed Yujhae with an intensity that reminded him why he was respected — and feared.

"Three weeks in," the King said slowly. "Phoenix is growing as expected. Your team has proven… competent. But I sense your ambition isn't satisfied with just Suwon."

Yujhae leaned back, fingers steepled. "You're correct. Suwon is stable now, but expansion is the next step. There's a city south of here — Ansan. It's ripe for influence, but I know it's not simple. Its King runs a disciplined empire, multiple businesses under strict management. He won't let just anyone encroach."

The Suwon King's lips curved slightly. "You know your facts. Ansan's King is a different breed. He doesn't rely on brute force alone — his discipline keeps him in control. But he has one weakness: he rarely reacts unless directly threatened. His empire runs like clockwork. A Phoenix quietly inserting influence would go unnoticed for a while, if done with precision."

Yujhae's eyes narrowed. "Exactly. That's the opening. I don't intend to attack him head-on. I want subtle control — small clubs, restaurants, even secondary businesses. Influence grows silently, and when the time comes, we either ally or dominate."

The King nodded thoughtfully. "I can support this, but you must understand the stakes. Ansan isn't Suwon. If the King notices anomalies too early, he could crush your operations before they take root. Discipline is his greatest weapon, patience his shield. You will need meticulous planning — Phoenix has to be invisible while growing."

Yujhae's grin was faint but sharp. "Invisible, yes. And powerful. I'll deploy my team strategically, assign them to key sectors, and reinforce Phoenix's current operations. The security units are ready. By the time he notices, influence will already be entrenched. And if anything goes wrong…"

The Suwon King's eyes twitched slightly. "I won't intervene unnecessarily. As long as Ansan's King isn't directly challenged, there's little reason for him to act. Discipline keeps him cautious. But overreach, and it's over. Keep your Phoenix disciplined as well. Subtlety first. Strike second."

Yujhae nodded. "Understood. Timing is everything."

After the meeting, Yujhae gathered his key team members in the Phoenix planning room. Dojin, Taejun, and Kang Jisu stood silently, absorbing every word.

"Ansan," Yujhae said, voice steady. "It's a city run by discipline. The King there won't react to small moves, but that doesn't mean it's easy. We're going in quietly — clubs, restaurants, minor business acquisitions. We grow influence slowly, strategically. No overt actions, no attention."

Dojin cracked his knuckles. "Sounds like another chessboard. We're making moves while he thinks nothing is happening?"

"Exactly," Yujhae replied. "We test the waters, expand slowly, and prepare for anything. Security remains on high alert, but overt combat will only come if absolutely necessary. This is a game of patience — and precision."

Taejun added, "We need intelligence too — which areas are weaker, which alliances exist. Any exposure could ruin the plan."

Yujhae's smirk widened. "Already in motion. Cameras, informants, financial channels. By the time the King of Ansan realizes Phoenix has entered, it will be too late. And if the opportunity arises to negotiate… we have leverage, just like we did with Suwon."

Kang Jisu folded his arms. "Then we prepare. Security, logistics, operations — all aligned. We grow, quietly but effectively."

Yujhae looked over his team, pride swelling beneath the calm exterior. Phoenix wasn't just a club empire anymore — it was a machine for controlled influence, capable of expanding far beyond the borders of its starting district.

"The city doesn't sleep," Yujhae whispered, eyes on the maps laid out before him. "Neither can we. Suwon was only the beginning. Ansan… will be ours — carefully, silently, and completely."

Outside, the neon lights of Suwon reflected in the glass. Yujhae clenched his fists, thinking ahead. The plan was clear. Patience. Discipline. Precision. And when the time came, Phoenix would rise like a storm in Ansan.
