Lena gritted her teeth as she watched Adrian go after Nova. Irritation burned hot in her chest.
She had spent the entire day turning the problem over in her head, searching for the fastest way to get rid of Nova. To destroy her reputation so thoroughly that she would have no choice but to crawl back to wherever she came from, humiliated and unwanted.
And then, like God Himself had finally answered her prayers, the solution dropped straight into her lap.

Lena almost laughed when the realization settled. Of course she was married. It made perfect sense. A woman like that did not come out of nowhere.
