Fuyuki Ghost (Chapter 6: Revelation of the Truth)
Daitan was still in shock. After a brief pause, he took a step forward and asked,
"W-what do you mean?"
The ghost didn't pay attention and simply turned away. Daitan reached for the scarf, and the moment he touched it, memories that weren't his own flashed through him. The pain was so intense it seemed to reach his bones; he even felt as if he were burning. He screamed out loudly.
Fuyuki, seeing this, rushed to his side and asked,
"Hey, Dai-kun, are you okay?! Answer me!"
Daitan, overcome with pain, fainted. Fuyuki, her brows furrowed in anger and worry, glared at the ghost and asked harshly,
"What did you do?! Answer me now!"
The ghost looked at Fuyuki and replied in a very calm tone,
"He's fine… he just fainted from the pain. I'm more curious… why is it that a human and a ghost can be so connected?"
Fuyuki stepped away from Daitan slowly and asked,
"Don't change the subject. What do you want?"
The ghost smirked and replied,
"Good, you're getting to the point. This boy woke up and will ask you what's going on. I want a confession from those who caused this to happen to me!"
Fuyuki glanced at Daitan, sighed, and said,
"How do you expect them to confess?"
After a brief pause, the ghost answered,
"We'll scare them so much they'll think it's the result of their own guilt."
Fuyuki thought for a moment and said,
"Alright… deal accepted."
(10 minutes later)
The night was completely dark, with only the moonlight shining into the room. Daitan slowly opened his eyes, and Fuyuki was sitting right beside him. Daitan looked around but didn't see the female ghost. He turned to Fuyuki and asked,
"What happened?"
Fuyuki sighed and replied,
"Things got harder. It seems she wants a confession from those who caused her pain. That means we have to find them and figure out what really happened. What did you see?"
Daitan stood up and said,
"I didn't see clearly, but it seems her husband accused her of cheating, and that's why he set the house on fire… I know who did this to her, but I don't know where they are."
Fuyuki thought for a moment and said,
"Got it… so do we have to search the whole town?!"
While they were thinking of a solution, the female ghost returned and calmly said,
"I can give you a little help… if you can do it right."
Fuyuki approached the ghost and said,
"Tell us, we're listening."
The ghost paused for a moment and spoke,
"The two people you mentioned… they're the ones who spread rumors about me. They helped me with shopping, chores, even with my children. But one day, when my husband came home, he started beating me! Those two spread the rumor that I was cheating… I can guide you to where they are, but the plan is up to you."
Fuyuki looked at Daitan and smirked, slowly moving closer. Daitan jumped back, panicking, and said,
"Hey! I know what you're thinking!"
Fuyuki leaned in slightly and said,
"Relax… just this once, listen to me!"
Daitan let out a cold sigh and said,
"Fine… but if I don't like it, I won't do it!"
Fuyuki nodded in agreement, then turned to the ghost and said,
"We know what to do, but we'll need your help too! Here's the plan: Daitan, as if he were a messenger of God, will confront them and say that because of their sins, they will taste divine punishment. And since they won't believe him, we'll scare them!"
Daitan remained silent, sighing,
"A messenger of God? Seriously, what are you thinking?!"
After a moment, the ghost spoke again,
"That's good… I like it. But they must confess their sins in front of me and apologize! Only then will I find peace."
Fuyuki stood beside Daitan and said,
"Trust me… it'll work! But it's almost morning; we can't do this tonight. We need to sleep first. Tomorrow we'll set everything straight ^•^"
The ghost nodded silently and disappeared, leaving the room in quiet. Daitan looked at Fuyuki and said,
"Idiot! You said if I didn't want to, we wouldn't do it! Plus, I have school tomorrow. Let's go to bed."
Fuyuki followed Daitan, teasing,
"Got a better plan? Now that it's happening, might as well."

Daitan arrived home and, without changing his clothes, threw himself onto the bed. Fuyuki sat beside him, watching quietly.
