Chapter 3 - Getting an ID

Aisaac walked out of the store, his lips widened into a grin.

He looked at his status.

[Weapon Mastery - 1.0%]

[Mana Mastery - 0.0%]

"At least one is better than zero, guess my gift ain't so bad after all" Aisaac muttered to himself before walking towards the kingdom's gate.

As he reached the vicinity, he saw people and carriages in a line, the knight guards were inspecting them.

"What are they doing?" Aisaac asked a man who was standing in the line.

The man looked at him with raised eyebrows then looked at him from head to toe, "I can tell this is your first time leaving home, hmm?"

Aisaac just shrugged.

" Well, this is the norm, they are just inspecting, as long as you have an ID, you would be fine" the man said.

Aisaac nodded, "where can I get an ID?"

"At the adventurer's guild, two streets away from here" the man answered.

"Thank you." Aisaac shook the man's hand and walked back.

The man stared at his back before looking at his hand, in it was lying three gold coins, with a shake of his head he put the coins away.

Meanwhile following the man's directive, he easily reached the adventurer's guild, the guild was the largest building and was easy to notice since there was the signboard on it.

Aisaac walked in earning some stares from the adventurers sitting around while some just ignored anyone that walked in a focused on what they were doing.

Aisaac walked towards the counter where a young man stood, "Good day sir, are you here to register an ID or pick up a mission?"

" I'm here to get an ID" Aisaac responded.

" Okay...follow me" the young man said as he stepped out of the counter and walked towards a door any the side, he opened it and walked in with Aisaac in tow.

Inside was small, a crystal ball sat in the middle and a stack of empty ID cards was in the corner.

The man walked towards the stack of ID cards and picked one, an inscription pen appeared in his hand.

"What's your name?"

"Aisaac...just Aisaac"

The man nodded and wrote it down.

"Adventurer or merchant?"

"Adventurer" Aisaac replied.

The man nodded before gesturing towards the crystal ball, "so I would need to measure your mana so I can rank you...just place your hand on the crystal ball"

"Oh...okay" Aisaac stepped forward and placed his hand on the crystal ball.

"Now send some mana towards the ball"

Aisaac frowned before his brows relaxed as he immediately send a stream of mana towards the ball.

The crystal immediately bloomed with purple light which stunned the man.

Aisaac removed his hand before turning to look at the man who was staring blankly. "Uhm... sir?"

The man came out of his daze, with trembling hands he wrote down Aisaac's rank on the ID card, as soon as he was done he handed it to him.

"Now just a drop of your blood so as to bind the card to you, you can use it anywhere and in any other guilds in other kingdoms or empires"

Aisaac nodded as he looked at his rank, Platinum, huh, he thought to himself before dropping a drop of blood on card, it immediately gleamed and the normal white turned into platinum.

"How sleek..." He muttered.

"Good sir, is there anything else you need?"

Aisaac thought before nodding, "Can you give me some information about the dungeons around, a map, information on kingdoms and empires and the ranks of adventurers?"

"Yes, as a platinum ranked adventurer you have access to these kind of information free of charge..." The man said.

"Oh..."

Meanwhile, some kilometres away from the kingdom, an entourage was moving towards it, a single carriage surrounded by knights in silver plated armour with cross marks on it. Beside the carriage were four robed priests who held a cross in their hands.

Inside the carriage, a white veiled woman was seated, her hands together as if she was praying.

"An Irregularity amongst the heroes...a blessing or a curse"

Aisaac walked out of the adventurer's guild towards the gate.

On the top floor of the guild, standing by the window watching as he left was a beautiful red haired woman.

Standing behind her was the man who had attended to Aisaac, he had his head bowed.

"Gideon, why am I just knowing a platinum?" The woman asked, her gaze still on Aisaac's departing back.

"Ma'am, he said he doesn't want to meet you, he also said this might be the last time he would be here" The man, Gideon responded.

The woman rose an eyebrow, "Oh...figures..."

"Ma'am?"

The woman turned around and sat back in her seat, "You can go..."

Gideon bowed and walked away.

The woman placed her elbows on the table and the back of her hands under her chin, " Aisaac...if fate allows it, may we meet again"

Meanwhile, Aisaac walked through the gates towards the outside, there several small huts by the roadsides where the slum residents resided.

"Guess it's everywhere..." He muttered to himself while sidestepping so a merchant caravan could pass through.

He took out a map and looked through it, "According to Gideon, the closest to Grixia Kingdom is the Killian Duchy which is about three miles -"

He paused in his steps before looking up from the map, he noticed four people in the distance staring at him which caused him to frown. They were the people he did not want to meet.

They were none other than Stefan, Freya, Lexus and Morgan.

With a sigh, Aisaac walked forward before stopping in front of them.

"What do you want...besides how did you do even get past the guards without being identified?"

Stefan folded his hands, "that doesn't matter to a dead man does it?"

Aisaac frowned as he began to feel uneasy.

"Dear Aisaac, with you roaming around, I can't feel at peace...you just need to disappear" Stefan said and Aisaac understood.

" I already got out of your way of playing hero, isn't killing me going too far?" Aisaac said as he clenched his fists.

Stefan laughed, "Bro...you weren't supposed to be here, you know you're just an extra, no one would notice if you disappear"

" Seriously?... " Aisaac suddenly loosened his clenched fists before shrugging.

He looked at their faces one after the other as his gaze turned cold, "Whatever you are trying to do...make sure it's thorough cause if I survive, I'll find you and end you, I promise"

Stefan and the other frowned before Freya sneered, "Don't flatter yourself, Aisaac, you're not a protagonist, you're just an extra" She looked at Morgan who sighed.

He pointed his hand at Aisaac as a black portal appeared behind him and sucked Aisaac in before closing. Morgan's face turned pale.

"Where did you send him?" Lexus asked.

"I don't know" Morgan shrugged as his face was regaining it's color.

Meanwhile on the other side of the world, a stretch of trees could be seen, amongst the trees were some mountains and small mountains.

This was the rumored Hundred Beasts Valley.

Somewhere in the valley, a black portal appeared...
