[Music: I Wanna Be Yours By Arctic Monkeys]
"Catherine."
I shivered before I summoned the courage to look at him; that vulnerability he only showed me was as bright as day.
I knew I hadn't been exactly readable ever since we got here. He's trying to read me, but he can't, and for a minute there, I saw the panic in those spell-binding blues.
His eyes dropped to the blindfold in my grip, my thumb stroking the fabric.
I observed as his Adam's apple rose and fell, he was probably having his own memory lane. Then it hit me. I have been so focused on myself that I haven't realized Ares was going through the same thing.
Just like me, he was stuck in that reverie, and reality was bleeding away from us.
"You thought of those times..." I questioned, and I knew he could tell what I meant.
We didn't need to say it out loud.
Ares' silence was louder than any words he had ever said.
