We're staying here for the entire weekend?!
I have only been here for a few hours, but I already feel like taking the next car that drives by and get the hell outta here.
"You look tired," he said. "You need to get some rest."
Rest. I'm not sure that is what I need right now. After I told myself I would proceed with caution, I ended up on his lap. I really need to rewire my brain and start making use of it like a normal person.
His explanation gave me some atom of peace, and it was a reminder that the man who burst through the door actually had a gun pointed at us. I was so caught up in the fact that Ares had shot a man multiple times that I didn't see that he did the needful to protect us.
But I can't shake the feeling about Ares' reaction to the whole thing. There was something I couldn't quite place, and the more I think about it, the more I have many questions.
"What are you gonna tell the cops when they get here? I mean, they see the body and—"
