Chapter 100 - Chapter 100: The Mad God

Mad God…

Chu Hao described it this way, deliberately using the word "mad," and it wasn't without reason.

He had truly noticed the abnormality of this world.

No!

Not just this world, already ravaged by chemical toxins and curse magic.

Even the Hayes race born in this world exhibited signs of "madness" in their physical structure.

Their twisted, malformed organs, their brains and eyes "protected" by curse magic…

Even the faint gray thread within their souls.

All of these, in Chu Hao's eyes, carried traces of something akin to insanity.

It was as if a thoroughly unhinged madman, with at least mid-level godly strength, was tormenting its own creations in the most unorthodox way.

Chu Hao was intensely curious about why this being would do such a thing.

Of course, beyond that…

What Chu Hao most wanted to know was how this "mid-level" god, who ruled this dark world, had been nurtured into existence!

A "wild god" born in a hidden world—what would it grow into?

Chu Hao's curiosity and thirst for knowledge demanded satisfaction.

With this in mind, he raised his head, looking toward the world's horizon, where a palace, shrouded in countless dreadful auras, lay deep underground.

He could sense the master of this world, hiding there.

Deep in the planet's subterranean depths.

"Still not showing yourself? You really have no manners, huh!"

At this moment, countless native demons had arrived in the world, drawn by Chu Hao pulling a portion of the Endless Abyss into it.

These creatures, born in extreme environments, showed no discomfort upon entering this world shrouded by chemical toxins and curse magic.

In fact, many of these demons were better adapted to this world than the native Hayes.

The rusty, toxic air was no different from harmless air to them. The tainted water that would deform most creatures was drinkable. And the "food"—the Hayes themselves—was far more "palatable" than the ordinary Abyssal creatures!

Even the collapsed buildings, destroyed by some unknown war, were seen as rare "nests" in the demons' eyes.

This world, forcibly connected to part of the Endless Abyss by Chu Hao, would fall rapidly under demonic ravaging.

Unlike previous wars in natural worlds, where both sides sent out "troops" to battle, and the Hayes once held advantages due to superior weaponry…

Now the situation was different.

A portion of the Endless Abyss had been pulled into this world and embedded within it.

Even a fragment was enough to grant the demons their own "home-field advantage"!

All rules from the Abyss rapidly infiltrated this world, embracing it fully and corrupting everything it contained.

"Oh no!" "Monsters! Monsters!"

With Yum's advance, vast swathes of the world were transformed into tainted swampland.

Chu Hao, atop Yum, watched impassively as the Hayes citizens fled the spreading corruption below.

Many Hayes struggled to rescue their kin from the tainted zones.

Unfortunately, the corruption originated from Yum's very authority.

Ordinary gas masks and protective suits were useless; their fate was sealed.

Yet in Chu Hao's eyes, the Hayes' life strength, though inferior to demons born from chaotic rules, was already far beyond that of ordinary creatures designed by graduates of the Tian Ding Academy.

Their potential was enough to develop alchemical science, industrial revolution–level technology, and low-tier peak magical energy.

Yet this species was toyed with by the world's ruling god as a cruel game, arbitrarily altering their life traits and even employing curse magic on them!

Chu Hao felt no pity or regret—only profound curiosity for the truth.

"Yum, we've arrived!"

With its immense, plane-sized body, Yum quickly carried Chu Hao to the deepest part of the planet—a dark chasm filled with toxic waste.

At the bottom lay the palace of the godly being exuding unknown auras.

Chu Hao dismounted Yum and flew toward the chasm's depths.

"Master…"

Yum showed a hint of concern.

"Allow me to clear the path!"

Direct contact between two gods was extremely dangerous.

Although Chu Hao had not acted directly in previous wars, this did not imply weakness—quite the opposite, his power was terrifying.

Similarly, any god, even a lower-tier one, possessed formidable strength. The being before him already radiated mid-tier godly potential.

"Heh…"

Chu Hao let out a cold laugh.

"No need, Yum."

He landed outside the palace gates.

Observing the surroundings, he frowned.

Discarded debris and meaningless constructions were haphazardly stacked as if "offerings" around the palace.

Among them lay Hayes soldiers, dead for unknown periods, their deaths gruesome.

All were victims of the palace's overflowing curse magic.

Chu Hao manifested countless black mists around himself.

Then, he pushed open the palace gates and stepped inside.

"Let's see… what kind of being you really are."

"…."

From inside, terrifying, agonized roars erupted.

Bound to the throne by countless black and gray threads, a being pleaded and begged Chu Hao.

This being…

Was the Mad God?

The insane deity?
