Chapter 97 - Chapter 97: Crushing of the Mythical Beings

The moment the true form of the Endless Abyss descended onto this world, all the conflicts raging across the battlefields instantly lost any real meaning.

Because when the apocalypse brought by the Abyss begins, only the twisted, grotesque deep demons could possibly survive to the end on this planet.

"Wh-what is this?!"

In the jungle, a high priest trembled as he gazed at the black-red vortex above—a vortex that now encompassed the entire planet.

This terrifying black-red spiral, like a gluttonous, gigantic beast, opened its fang-filled maw toward the world below!

"This is the end… the Apocalypse. God, please save us!"

Another priest knelt on the ground, praying toward the ascending god.

Yet, he didn't notice that beneath the land of the god's ascension, a grotesque elemental spirit sensed the arrival of the Endless Abyss and hastened its demands upon the faithful.

Meanwhile, at the spatial gates where the Hayes soldiers celebrated what they thought was victory, a cold shock struck them.

All the magnificent gates were withering and decaying.

"Oh… no."

A Hayes soldier trying to analyze the gates stared at the shattered portals in despair.

After countless comrades had died on the black, twisted lands, even their only gains were disappearing.

As Chu Hao reclaimed the spatial authority of the Endless Abyss, these gates had lost all value as "temporary passages"!

For the confused Hayes soldiers, this was both good news and bad news.

Good news: they no longer had to waste resources researching the coordinates of the Endless Abyss.

Bad news: the true form of the Endless Abyss had arrived on this planet. Whether they liked it or not, they were about to take a one-way "tour" through the Abyss!

In an instant, countless black Abyssal channels, like the tentacles of an octopus, connected effortlessly to the planet.

Chu Hao had now fully analyzed the spatial rules of this world.

The true transmission channels capable of bypassing the planar crystal walls to transport powerful beings were now wide open to the Endless Abyss.

"Rumble—"

Suddenly, the entire planet shook violently.

From beneath the surface, a massive, warped beast resembling a grotesque boar emerged!

Its mere breath created a terrifying tornado, tossing soldiers helplessly across the battlefield.

Above its head, several twisted tentacles—symbols of Abyssal authority—protruded. Any high-tier deity witnessing this creature would be stunned: this was a mythical being wielding multiple levels of power!

And this was only the beginning.

"Hahaha, Zik, you seem to have scared these little things!"

Whooosh!

A stinking, terrible storm coalesced in the sky.

At the storm's peak, a black "dragon" appeared, laughing uproariously.

Osiris!

A massive black dragon with rotting wings, countless black tentacles emerging from its back, and thousands of eyes covering its skull.

Its flight destroyed mountains with the storms it generated; forests were torn apart by the hurricane-force winds; even the earth itself dried under its breath!

Osiris spotted millions of soldiers below and shouted excitedly:

"Ah, after sleeping so long, I awake to such a feast!"

"Thank you, all-powerful Lord of the Abyss!"

Then, it dove into the Hayes army, crushing the land beneath them into rubble!

"Hahaha, fresh and delicious flesh!"

Terrifying Osiris grasped Hayes soldiers like candy beans.

But…

"Pff!"

It spat them out.

The imagined delicious taste never came. Instead, a foul stench of decay and pollution wafted from them.

This stench emanated from the soldiers' very souls.

If ordinary creatures' flesh offered a bloody sweetness, the bodies of the Hayes soldiers reeked of chemical odors!

"How can this taste so bad? You're… dark beings?!"

Osiris lowered its head, its thousands of eyes fixated on the Hayes soldiers, a complex expression on its monstrous face.

"No… even dark beings wouldn't taste this foul!"

"You… are the kin of fallen gods!"

These poor soldiers were not only being scrutinized by Osiris, but even their flesh was despised.

Worse still, they couldn't understand a word Osiris said.

While Abyssal language differs greatly from demon language, both sound like strange, chaotic whispers to ordinary beings.

"F-fire! Attack the monster!"

A Hayes soldier, first to regain courage, fired a bullet at the grotesque, colossal dragon.

"Oh hoho~"

Osiris was slightly tickled by the bullets and laughed.

"You remind me of the dwarves and gnomes in my previous world. How cute!"

As Osiris rambled, Zik intervened:

"Shut up, Osiris! Eliminate the world's resistance! Did you forget? We need to clean up these pests before we move on to Lord Yum!"

Hearing this, Osiris corrected its mischievous expression to a serious one.

"Oh, I almost forgot… sorry, little ones!"

In front of everyone, Osiris' body began a terrifying corruption.

In just a few breaths, its entire form sprouted countless black-red pustules.

As these pustules burst, countless Abyssal creatures bearing Osiris' bloodline hatched from within!

The Hayes soldiers, who had thought they understood overwhelming power, finally realized:

This is true crushing.

Crushing by mythical beings.
