"Exactly what I nee- ugh.." He tried to speak but he spat blood instead. "Maybe it's for the best I don't speak for a while."

He thought he was finally done with the fighting stuff until he heard a huge booming sound. It sounded like hundreds or thousands of horses running together.

"Wait, I forgot! I'm in trouble! I killed one of the founding families of the empire!" He thought before he tried to get up and run away. He fell right on his face and could do nothing except lay there and await his death.

"Don't get me wrong, this skill is working wonders, just not enough to save me from this situation." He thought as the doors to the Choi residence burst open and hundreds of armed soldiers on horses barged in.

"Capture the murderer at once! Walk with caution! He is dangerous for he has slain one of the Nine Great Families!" The general of the army yelled.

Suddenly, Ha-Jin was surrounded by soldiers in heavy armor who restrained his arms. They dragged him towards one of the horses and shoved him onto it. They tied him to the horse and got onto their horses.

[Your right to speak has been taken away by [General of the Royal army]]

The notification appeared infront of Ha-Jin and he suddenly could not speak no matter how hard he tried. He could not do anything except lay there silently until they reached what Ha-Jin supposed was the destination.

Hours passed and they finally reached their destination. Ha-Jin's suspicions were right. They were standing infront of the Royal Army's main base where criminals were interrogated.

Ha-Jin was escorted into the creepy building by the almost scary silent "soldiers". He was pushed into a room filled with countless torture devices.

Chills ran down Ha-Jin's back as he realised whatever was going to happen to him next was not going to be very pleasant.

[Your right to speak has once again been invoked by the [General of the Royal Army]]

"I didn't do anything! Trust me! They were the ones who had enslaved me and tortured me countless times! They even sealed my emo-"

Before he could finish his sentence, a whip lashed across his back and he felt something hit his neck as he fell unconscious.

His eyes fluttered open and he looked around. "Mm... Huh?! What the hell is this?!"

He cried out.

His arms were chained to the ceiling and his legs to the floor, he was shirtless with the General standing infront of him, holding a whip. However, he could feel that the whip in the General's hand was no ordinary whip but rather, a mana infused one.

"Holy shit, a whip infused with the mana of a general? I'm dead, aren't I? Maybe I just should've pretended to be a slave of the Nine Great Families." He thought, not trying to struggle. He knew that these chains were reinforced with mana and he had no chance of breaking through them.

"Tell me foolish child. Why did you kill one of the Nine Great Families?" The General finally spoke as he ran a hand along the length of the whip.

"They enslaved me, sir! They were going to buy children and place emotion seals on them just to have them become guards!" Ha-Jin exclaimed at the General, the chains rattling as he leaned forward.

"Watch your tone, foolish child. I am one of the generals of the royal army that protects the the empire directly under the king. I am one of the highest-ranking people in the empire." The General warned him while he swiftly lashed the whip onto Ha-Jin's chest once.

It took Ha-Jin a few seconds to process the pain but when it did, it hurt like hell. "AAAAUUUUUUUGGGGGHHH!" He cried out.

This pain was pain like which he had never experienced before. Sure, he had felt whips lashing at him countless times at the Junkyard but trust me whips infused with the mana of one of the strongest people in the empire is much more painful than a million lashes from that whip.

[User is in extreme pain]

[Regeneration is working at it's hardest]

[Congratulations! Passive Skill:Regeneration has leveled up to (C)]

"That's... very.. reassuring." Ha-Jin thought as he looked at the notifications that had popped up in front of him. He could barely think after a singular lash from that whip. His breathing was messed up and blood was dripping from where he had been hit with the whip.

A week passed at the Central Base. The screams of the other people trying to escape had died down. The screams from the interrogation room of the new boy were terrifying.

Everybody knew that the boy was being interrogated and punished by the General himself and also that if they tried to escape, the General would take care of them. After just hearing the cruelty of the punishment of the boy, they were just too terrified of the General to even bring themselves to think about escaping and failing.

Ha-Jin was slumped from chains, blood poured from where the whip had hit him several times. He now has several scars on his body. The whip along with the sword and mana injuries of when he had killed The Chois.

"I've told you everything about the incident.. Just let me go now..." Ha-Jin mumbled weakly. He no longer had the strength to even protest or cry out anymore.

"Alright, fine. Lieutenant, let him go." The general commanded. "Yes Sir! Right away!" The lieutenant ran up to Ha-Jin's side and pressed a button on his side.

"Mana Reinforced portal is opening. Destination:The Arena."

As the voice rang through the torture room, a feeling of dread ran through Ha-Jin as his face paled.

"No! No! I meant let go as in let me go into the open, not that accursed place! Please! Just not there!" Ha-Jin pleaded but to no prevail. The chains on his legs released as a portal appeared below him. Ha-Jin pleaded once more before the chains on his arms released and he plummeted down to the place known as the arena.

He fell with a loud Crash and when he looked up, he froze. This really was The Arena.
