Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Seeds of Doubt

Uzumaki Naruto: "The Sasuke in that world seems even worse—his eyes aren't awakening at all!"

Uchiha Sasuke: "Idiot Naruto, shut up!"

Senju Hashirama: "I don't really see any difference… Is there actually one between the two worlds?"

Senju Tobirama: "As things stand, the Uchiha Sasuke from that parallel world appears to be far more emotionally stable. That's… unsettling. That's not like an Uchiha at all!!!"

The entire ninja world fell silent, stunned.

Tobirama's words had struck a nerve.

Sasuke from the original world was overwhelmed by emotion.

Fear. Despair. Grief. Rage. Hatred...

A storm of feelings raged inside him.

But the Sasuke from the parallel world?

There wasn't a single trace of emotion on his face.

On the contrary—

He looked calm. Too calm.

He even seemed… deep in thought.

Orochimaru: "How interesting… This Sasuke is completely different. I wonder what's going on in that head of his."

Uzumaki Kushina: "Has little Sasuke gone into shock? Did he just… break?"

Uchiha Mikoto: "I don't think so…"

[At that very moment, the Uchiha Sasuke from the parallel world was lost in thought.]

[He was remembering one strange detail.]

[Yesterday afternoon, just before school was supposed to end, Iruka-sensei suddenly announced there would be extra classes.]

[The lessons dragged on for hours, and school didn't let out until long after dark.]

[By the time Sasuke rushed home, the massacre had already happened. Corpses were everywhere.]

[Was that just a coincidence? Or was it connected?]

[The Ninja Academy had never scheduled extra classes like that before—not without warning.]

[Why did they suddenly extend classes yesterday? And for so many hours?]

[And right after that... Itachi slaughtered the entire clan.]

[No matter how you looked at it… this felt like more than a coincidence.]

BOOM!

A wave of shock rippled through the crowd.

Almost everyone's expression changed.

Uchiha Sasuke, after witnessing the massacre carried out by his own brother, after losing his parents and his entire clan…

Was he really this calm? Emotionally stable?

Was he actually thinking rationally—questioning the truth behind the genocide?

This kid is only seven years old!

Uzumaki Naruto: "Wait… were there really extra classes that day? Why don't I remember?"

Haruno Sakura: "I kind of remember… I think a bunch of classes were suddenly added one day."

Yamanaka Ino: "Yeah, I have a vague memory of that too."

Nara Shikamaru: "Now that you mention it… I remember it very clearly. After that sudden late class, Sasuke didn't show up at school the next day. Think there's a connection?"

Iruka: "I remember now… I was suddenly told that day we had to cover a few 'important' lessons before the day ended."

Sarutobi Hiruzen broke into a cold sweat.

Why would the Sasuke from the parallel world think of something like this?

Onoki: "This old man was right. There's definitely a conspiracy here!"

Terumi Mei: "What's really shocking is that a seven-year-old kid was able to think so clearly… and so calmly at that moment!"

Orochimaru: "Sarutobi-sensei… how do you explain this?"

Sarutobi Hiruzen was seething inside.

These people are just treating this like some kind of spectacle!

After a moment's thought, he finally spoke, trying to keep his voice composed:

"Don't talk nonsense!"

"We did detect some suspicious activity in the village that day. I sent a team to investigate immediately—but we were too late."

"To keep the academy students safe, we temporarily added extra classes to keep them at the school."

Senju Tobirama: "That's a reasonable explanation. But still, monkey—reacting so late to such a major threat in your own village? That's negligence."

Sarutobi Hiruzen: "Yes, sensei, your criticism is justified. As Hokage, I failed to respond in time when the incident broke out. I will reflect on that."

After saying this, Hiruzen let out a deep sigh of relief.

At last… this conversation is over.

[Sarutobi Hiruzen entered the hospital room, using the same gentle, rehearsed tone he always did.]

["I've arranged a place for you in the center of the village. I can send someone to bring over your belongings—you don't have to go back to that painful place."]

[He spoke with a kind expression, voice calm and composed.]

[But Uchiha Sasuke's response caught him completely off guard.]

[Sasuke's eyes flickered—firm, resolute.]

["Hokage-sama, I want to go back and organize my parents' things myself."]

["What's done is done. No matter how scared I am, I have to face the truth. Running away won't change anything."]

["I've made up my mind."]

[Hiruzen paused, slightly surprised, then slowly nodded.]

["All right."]

["Sasuke, I'm glad you're finding the courage to face this."]

["But if at any moment you feel overwhelmed, don't push yourself. Tell me if you need anything. I'm the Hokage, and it's my duty to protect every villager in Konoha."]

Hatake Kakashi: "Impressive. The Sasuke from this parallel world isn't just calmer—he's more mature."

He knew what that kind of loss felt like.

He was seven, too.

That morning… he woke to find his father lying in a pool of blood.

The very blade that made him famous—the White Fang—was embedded in his abdomen.

Kakashi couldn't even remember what happened afterward.

His mind had gone blank. He wandered in a daze, barely aware of what he was doing.

And he'd already been a Chūnin for a year at that age.

Even before that… the pressure.

The whispers. The condemnation from the villagers that slowly crushed his father.

But Sasuke?

The day before the massacre, everything was normal. Happy, even.

And then—his brother slaughtered his parents and wiped out the entire clan.

Despite that, this version of Sasuke still found the strength to face reality head-on.

He was… stronger than Kakashi had been at the same age.

[Later.]

[Led by an ANBU operative, Sasuke returned to the Uchiha compound.]

[The bloodstains hadn't been cleaned yet.]

[Masked ANBU members moved silently through the homes, removing the bodies.]

[Sasuke froze for a second.]

[His breathing quickened.]

[Something deep within his mind began to stir.]

[His eyes began to throb.]

[Slowly, the tomoe in both eyes surfaced.]

[He didn't stop.]

[Without flinching, he stepped through the bloodstained corridors,

and walked toward what was once his home.]
