"Ah yes, I have a delivery at 3:00 today," Aldrich said. "The struggle for making money in this city is crazy. I guess I have to begin today again."
It was July 22 of 2025, and the time was currently 2:55. Aldrich had gotten on his bike and began his movement for his next delivery. He rode fast towards his destination.
As he moved, his cellphone beeped. It was Sarah, his girlfriend.
Staring at the phone, a smile crossed his face. The traffic light indicator was just ahead of him, so he got closer. It was time to stop, so he pressed the paddle of the bike's brake and halted. There was a chance now for him to take the call.
He grabbed the phone and clicked the answer option. From the other end of the phone, a majestic and angelic beautiful voice came on.
"Hey babe, I do miss you, and I hope work isn't stressing you out."
The joy of every man was hearing from his loved ones on a hustling day nothing beats it.
Aldrich smiled so hard that the man in the car next to him was staring at him. But he didn't care it was his girl after all.
His lips moved, and he said, "Stress? Actually, I was, but hearing your voice just made it less stressful right now, so thanks."
She said, "Oh okay, I was just calling to check in. You still gonna pick me up at 3:30? I've been thinking of you, and I am a bit wet down there."
Aldrich replied, "Babe, you can't be teasing like this during work hours. You know I'd run down to you and leave this. Hahaha."
They both laughed, and Aldrich said, "Yes, I'll be picking you up at 3:30."
But by this time, the traffic light had indicated that they could move. So he said, "Babe, I will catch up with you later."
He moved his bike across the road, aiming to cross over the street. But then a truck from the other lane moved at a tremendous speed,Its brake was broken, and it couldn't stop its track.
Aldrich moved his face towards the side the truck was coming from and tried avoiding it,But it was too late.
The truck had slammed itself into Aldrich,He was just an ordinary delivery and salesman who had got himself in an accident during work.
Quickly, passersby called for an emergency ambulance instantly. Aldrich was picked up and quickly began transporting to the nearest hospital as his life was at risk.
Two nurses were inside the ambulance giving him first aid treatment.
Nurse Titi said, "My God, he's losing so much blood, and he's lost all consciousness of himself."
The other nurse said, "I can clearly see that he's going into a coma, We need to hurry up."
Meanwhile, Sarah on the other end could clearly hear everything the accident sound. Her call didn't ended, and the accident didn't affect the phone so everything that happened she heard the sound of it before the call ended,She kept calling and calling back, but the nurses were so busy they couldn't reach to answer it.
After a few minutes of driving, they arrived at the hospital and quickly rushed Aldrich into a hospital bed for treatment. But at this point, it was too late,Aldrich was already in full time coma.
Doctor Richard asked them to put him under observation, The nurses listened and immediately placed him in a safe spot.
Later that evening, family and friends alongside his girlfriend visited him every day. Up until it had been 5 days, and Aldrich was still in a coma.
It was just like every other day in the hospital that evening when the door to Aldrich's room opened. It was Doctor Richard with his pony hair and his eyeglasses. He came closer to the coma Aldrich, stared at him deeply, and said, "You're already in between the realm of the living and the dead. Why should you keep suffering this? I would have to erase you from this pain somehow."
He dipped his hands into his pocket and brought out an injection which contained a yellow serum. Doctor Richard looked at it and said, "I have to try this to shut you down completely or kick you back up. This is a forceful attempt, but it's a test, so I have to see if it works."
He injected the serum into Aldrich's neck area until the liquid completely slipped through into Aldrich.
Doctor Richard stared at him and said, "Let's see if this works now. The serum was given to me by those people. Hopefully, it gives you your life back, Mr. Aldrich."
But that was where Doctor Richard was wrong.The serum had slipped through Aldrich's body and settled in. But instead of helping Aldrich out of his coma, the serum had done something else completely. It had shut Aldrich's system down and instantly transported his soul into somewhere else.
It was another world completely. It was a place called Kodesh, the Holy Land, And Aldrich found himself inside a coffin buried down in the ground.
A little drop of sand itched onto his skin Then another drop And another then his eyes opened, and it was nothing but complete darkness. The silence that followed sent fear down his spine.he couldn't breathe very well like he used to and Just right above him was a little tiny light, one that reflected like the moon.
"Am I dead?"
That was the question I asked myself at first.
"What is this strange feeling? Oh yes, that's right. I am dead. Of course I am."
But Aldrich was able to move his hands somehow, although the space was a bit tight because he was laid down straight,he was buried in a coffin.
Using his last ounce of strength, Aldrich punched the surface, Pain rushed down his right hand, but at least the coffin had opened and his hand came through it. Finally, he could feel some fresh air slipping into him through the space that his hand had created.
His hand busted the coffin open, and he crawled out of it, He was in a pitch black world full of darkness.
He turned around and saw where he had crawled out from. Fear instantly gripped him as he knew instantly that after that accident, he was declared dead and he was buried so he thought.
His reaction was quite funny. He said, "So I got buried alive? Well, that's a crazy thing because I'm not."
He screamed, saying, "Well, isn't there some light here? I'm alive! Come get me out of here, you lazy ass doctors and nurses!"
But there was no response,So it dawned on him that he truly was dead and maybe this was an afterlife,Just then, in front of him, a screen displayed, and it said:
[Welcome to the Realm of Souls, Mr...….What is your name?]
"What is my name?" Aldrich repeated just what the screen had displayed right in front of him.
He turned around and said, "Why would a screen ask of my name? That's just weird."
But as his thoughts ran wild, the screen instantly began a countdown of 30 seconds. The system said,
["If the countdown runs out, thou soul will be lost forever."]
[29….28…27…26]
This instantly freaked the shit out of Aldrich.
"Lost forever? What?" he said.
He quickly said, "My name is Aldrich! Aldrich! Aldrich, dammit!"
The screen instantly recorded it and displayed his name in full.
[Welcome, Mr. Aldrich. You've been selected to be a Gifter in the Realm of Souls. Do well to pick a Library of your choice.]
The screen then went blank for a few seconds,Aldrich was like, "Hey, hey, hey! Come back! What choices do I make? You can't leave me out here!"
Then after a few seconds the screen flickered back to life, and an option to select finally came out. The screen had only one option, and it was the Library of The BookKeeper.

Aldrich's reaction was funny as he said, "Huh? You said options, and I got only one to pick?"
Before he finished his sentence, the countdown began again. He had no time. Once again, his only choice was picking the Library of The BookKeeper, and so he had no choice but to go for it.
Once he selected it, the screen said:
[Selection Confirmed.]
[Congratulations, Aldrich.]
[You've successfully initiated contact with Library Of The Bookkeeper ]

The screen vanished, and a sudden door opened up in front of him,He said, "Well, I guess I have to walk through this, isn't it?"
He took a step forward,In front of the door, it was written,The Realm of Crafts, A Place where weapons were made for Battle.
