Chapter 6 - The Power of Light

When the war in the house ended, the silence was mixed with the sound of rain. Alison was leaning against the window, watching the storm outside. His eyes were still shaking with the echo of what had just happened. William sat wounded; Sienna was closing the magic rings, and Cayden was slowly placing a notebook on the table. Alison broke the silence: "My mother…" she said in a low voice. "Why isn't anyone talking about him? Where is he?" Sienna turned her head and exchanged a brief glance with William.

Cayden let out a long sigh. "Because that's the truth that will shake you the most, Alison." Cayden leaned his cane on the table and opened the notebook. Inside was a faded symbol of magic, a seal in the middle where light and darkness merged. "Your mother was the most powerful protector of the Council of Light. Her name was Evelyn Seraphine." Alison's eyes filled with tears. "Evelyn…" he repeated, as if trying to find warmth in the sound of that name. Cayden continued: "Evelyn was sent to fight the dark lord. But instead of destroying him in battle… she fell in love with him." William bowed his head silently. "Their love was both cursed and sacred. Evelyn believed she could save the darkness. But the Council never accepted it."

Sienna created a light in the magic ring. Alison's mother's face appeared as a bright silhouette. "Evelyn, when you were born, the Council wanted to destroy you because they thought your blood would upset the balance of the two worlds. But your mother sacrificed everything to protect you." Alison was crying now. "So… my mother died?" William slowly approached him. "No. He sealed away his own light to protect you. He lost his body, but his spirit lives on. In the 'Intermediate World'—the Luminar Abyss—where darkness and light meet." Alison wiped away her tears, but her voice was firm: "So… I can find him?" Cayden nodded. "Yes. But it's a prison of souls. Only someone who has made a pact with the darkness can go there." William remained silent, but his eyes darkened. "This path is dangerous. But if you want to find your mother, you can't completely reject the darkness." Alison looked up. "If I have to touch the darkness to save her… I will." Sienna smiled, her voice light but hopeful: "That's why you were chosen, Alison. You're the only one who can see the dark without fear." When the wind stopped, only Alison's heartbeat could be heard in the room.

William looked out the window a sliver of light had appeared in the sky, among the dark clouds. It was as if someone was watching them from above. And at that moment, Alison heard her mother's voice for the first time. "Do not be afraid... darkness is just a path. It is your destiny to walk it." Alison closed her eyes. A single tear mixed with the shining blue magic in his hand. William and Sienna stared at Alison, her mother's words still ringing in her ear. "Are you ready?" William asked, his voice deep and determined.

Alison nodded. "I'm ready. Now is not the time to wait." Cayden opened a page from the old notebook and whispered the spell formula. The magic ring began to glow; The light in the room flickered as if dancing with the darkness. Alison stepped in and felt it: there was a tension between darkness and light in every breath. It was as if his body was being pulled into another dimension. In an instant, everything changed before his eyes. The room gave way to an endless void. Colors were mixing, stars and shadows were entangled. "This is…" Alison whispered, "Luminar Abyss…" Cayden nodded. "Yes. A place trapped between spirits and shadows. You may find your mother here… but be careful. Every step is a test." Along the way, dark figures began to appear.

They were shadows born of Alison's fears. "You… you will lose your mother," they whispered. Alison closed her eyes, strengthening her blue magic. "I don't care about you," he said firmly. "My goal is to save my mother." The shadows dispersed before the shining blue light. Alison took a deep breath, but the heaviness in her heart was still heavy. William approached him silently. "You know… I have a connection to the darkness too," he said. Alison was surprised. "Your?" William looked away. "Yes. If you are to trust me on this journey, I must unleash my darkness. This path could be dangerous for both of us." Alison looked into his eyes; He saw the fear and determination within him. "Then let's walk together," he said. Deep within the Luminar Abyss, blue light and shadows mixed together. Alison and William stood side by side, staring forward. In the distance, a light was shining. A ray of hope. And Alison felt like her mother's spirit was there waiting for her. "Now… this is the beginning," Alison said to herself. Darkness was waiting for the first step of fate.
