The man was thrown to the ground by the blast. Both his legs below the knees had been turned into blackened charcoal, and his entire body was covered in cracks, as if he were about to fall apart.
Yu Yachen raised her left hand, nonchalantly fanning the air in front of her nose. Killer Queen's explosions were silent to everyone else; only she could hear them.
The white-haired woman stood up and walked over to the Lupo man. His Stand ability had already automatically deactivated.
Killer Queen floated behind Yu Yachen. This humanoid Stand was slightly leaner than its original, robust form. It leaned elegantly on Yu Yachen's shoulder, its vertical pupils staring down at the prey below.
"Y-You... you don't feel any pain at all!?"
Unable to maintain his Stand, the Lupo man was terrified, dragging himself backward with his elbows.
"I feel a little."
Yu Yachen expressionlessly pressed her left hand to the stump of her right arm. Warm blood instantly soaked her palm.

Her pale cyan eyes were as clear as a spring under the sunlight, but her gaze was lifeless. Yu Yachen looked down at the man.

Although Yu Yachen was just asking casually, the man's shocked expression told her the answer.
It really is Diavolo. Well, technically. If I'm being picky, shouldn't he be in Siracusa? But Yu Yachen didn't care about that.

Before he could finish, Killer Queen had already flown forward, punching a hole through his heart.

Exusiai stared in surprise at the black-gold bank card. She had always thought Yu Yachen was just an ordinary office worker.
"Actually, this time, I truly have something very important to ask of you."
Yu Yachen lowered her head, the smile still on her lips, as she fumbled in her pockets for something.
"Whatever it is, just say it! You can count on—" Exusiai puffed out her chest. "—us!"
"Then let's get straight to the point."
After a moment, Yu Yachen pulled a folded white piece of paper from her pocket. She unfolded it and handed it to the two women.
"I'll make sure everything is taken care of afterward. You don't need to worry too much. Just focus on one thing."
"Also, this is my will."
At the word "will," Exusiai froze.
Sunlight slanted in through the dessert shop's floor-to-ceiling windows. Yu Yachen blinked, and the shadows from her eyelashes fluttered. Her pale, clear, cyan eyes were striking in the halo of light. She smiled gently.
"Can you please... let me die in front of Officer Ch'en?"
"..."
