Chapter 127 - Chapter 127: Ancient One Arrives, Two Sisters

The next day, Saturday.

At Vincent's home.

There was no need to set an alarm clock; Wanda had already developed a biological clock and woke up early, diligently starting her day's work.

After washing up and changing into her everyday clothes, the first thing the girl did was naturally go to the second room to call Vincent to wake up. However, when she opened the door and entered the room, where was the Black-haired Boy's figure on the empty bed?

Miss Diana, who had also left home, left a message indicating that Vincent had gone to a friend's house and might not return until tonight or tomorrow.

A friend's house? Which friend could it be?

And why didn't he tell her last night that he was leaving so early this morning? Wanda couldn't help but ponder, and a look of disappointment appeared on her small face. However, she quickly cheered up again. With Vincent not home, it was a good opportunity to thoroughly clean the house.

Today, the special classes at the school were also canceled.

Wanda remembered that Vincent had said someone would pick her up at ten o'clock this morning to learn other things.

So.

After breakfast, Wanda began cleaning the kitchen, bathroom, living room, and other areas, and put the quilt, pillows, and clothes from Vincent's room into the washing machine for separate washing and drying.

"This is…"

The Scarlet Girl squatted in front of Vincent's wardrobe, looking curiously at a bottom drawer. After opening it and taking out a White shirt, two special bodysuits were clearly laid out underneath.

One was a black and White hooded bodysuit with mesh and a White spider logo.

The other was an all-black cape bodysuit with a distinct S-shaped totem logo on the chest… Wanda was not the type to ignore daily news. It could be said that after receiving butler training, her involvement and understanding of recent news media far exceeded Vincent's, who only paid attention to information when he felt like it.

So when she saw these two battle suits of different styles, she immediately connected them to recent events.

Vincent was not an ordinary person; Wanda had always known this.

For example, he could single-handedly rescue himself from five meters of rubble, and sometimes his body would show strange conditions like changes in hair color.

Wanda silently put the White shirt back into the wardrobe, covering the two tight battle suits again. She felt a strange sadness in her heart, not because Vincent was hiding things from her, but because she, as a maid or butler, could not provide even a shred of help in certain areas.

This was undoubtedly a great dereliction of duty!

Just as Wanda was thinking this, she suddenly heard a strange noise from the living room outside.

Wanda then realized that it was already ten o'clock in the morning, the time Vincent said someone would come to pick her up for class.

Hurrying out of the room and into the living room, Wanda suddenly froze. In the center of the living room, Mars was spinning, forming a strange circular portal in the air. Standing in front of the portal was a bald woman with her hands behind her back and a kind face.

The bald woman's appearance did not reveal her exact age. With a smile on her lips, she looked at Wanda, who had walked out of the room, and said, "Hello, Wanda Django Maximoff."

"Hello. Are you the teacher the Young Master mentioned to instruct me?" Wanda asked subconsciously.

"Teacher?" Ancient One pondered for a moment, then simply shook her head and said, "Not exactly. I only took Vincent as a student, but he didn't want to learn, so he asked you to learn on his behalf."

"So, you don't need to call me teacher; you can just call me Sorcerer Ancient One."

Learning can be substituted? The Master is really… Wanda had a strong urge to complain, but she still said earnestly and obediently, "I will learn well for the Young Master!"

Ancient One looked at her deeply, turned, and walked into the portal behind her: "Follow me."

Wanda was not afraid; she took a step and followed her into the portal.

After Ancient One and Wanda successively entered the portal, the rapidly spinning Mars portal began to shrink until only a tiny spark remained, extinguishing in the empty living room… Los Angeles.

The largest city in the U.S. West, always known as the "City of Angels," even Iron Man Tony Stark specifically built a super luxury sea-view Villa here.

There are no fixed Superhero residing locally. Curiously, precisely because there are no Superhero, it has become one of the cities that have been spared from major supernatural events in recent years, unlike New York, Gotham City, Metropolis, and Washington.

At this moment. On a bus traveling at a steady speed towards the city center on a main road in Los Angeles.

In the two back seats sat a green-haired girl of about thirteen, and a Black-haired Boy in his early sixteen.

The Black-haired Boy was also holding a backpack with the zipper only halfway up, containing a Little Orange Cat and a glass jar.

It was Lorna, and Vincent, who had already exited his demigod mode.

"That. Polaris Boss, can you please not hold my hand?" Vincent said in a low voice.

"What, are you shy just like that?" Lorna said nonchalantly, though her tone sounded a bit weak.

"No, I'm afraid…" Vincent's eye twitched, feeling again the many people on the bus casting strange glances at him.

After all, the two clearly weren't siblings.

And when Lorna wasn't wearing her usual smoky makeup, her delicate small face was fair and flawless, like a cute doll, with her feet dangling in the air as she sat on the chair, truly an innocent girl who had not yet experienced the world.

Vincent didn't look very old either, wearing a baseball cap and a mask, making him appear somewhat suspicious when accompanying Lorna.

Vincent really wanted to say that compared to the 'socially active' guy next to him, he was the one who hadn't experienced the world yet.

The bus body swayed slightly with a jolt.

Lorna frowned slightly and mumbled, "Kid, I want candy."

"Wait a moment."

Vincent immediately pulled a lollipop from his pocket and peeled off the colorful plastic wrapper. He was about to hand the candy stick to Lorna, but then he noticed that although she had released her hands, she had put them back into her pants pockets, and coolly opened her pink little mouth to indicate.

This is the Boss, and also a patient… Vincent endured it and gently placed the lollipop into her small mouth.

With a flexible flick of her pink little tongue, like a snake's, Lorna held the candy, taking a puff as if smoking, then narrowed her eyes in delight.

Just as Vincent was putting the candy wrapper into his pocket, he heard Lorna say, holding the lollipop, "Do you want a taste?"

Vincent looked at the candy, which was coated with a glistening Water sheen, and shook his head.

Lorna seemed to have tested something. She re-bit the lollipop and whispered, "Is this not enough? Can you only gain abilities through that method?"

"More or less."

Vincent didn't know how to explain. His ability, besides exchanging liquids, also required physical contact.

So, just having liquid was indeed not enough.

"Then do you want a taste?" Lorna said nonchalantly, sticking out her tongue, "You need it now, don't you?"

"Not for now!"

Vincent refused flatly.

He was afraid that if he really did that, he would quickly reach two stars in this city.
