Troy was immediately enthusiastic after reading the description of the King of Fighting technique as he knew that in the future he was sure to get entangled in combat numerous times. When he looked at that description on the Myriads Illusion Mask he was slightly stumped on how and when to use it. Thinking to him he headed to the small attached bathroom in his room to splash some water on his face. After splashing some cold water on his face he started to look up and that is when he stopped as if petrified.
Before his awakening if one were to describe Troy, ugly was not all that would come to mind. Even though he wasn't as handsome as a celebrity model or anything, he could be called good looking with fair skin, chiseled jawline, matte black hair and pair of intelligent black eyes. His physique wasn't too bad either due to exercising regularly. He could not be said to be built but his physique could be called well adjusted in regards to his height and weight.
The mirror above the sink was the reason for Troy's momentary shock. The mirror showed him the unbelievable changes he had gone through in 1 hour. His face had become so handsome that practically walking in the road would net him women left to right. He could even put famous actors and celebrity models a run for their money. His matte black hair had turned to shining silver, and so had his eyes. One could also notice a tinge of red in his irises. Even his physique had gone incredible changes as his height has risen by almost 5 inches taking it to 6ft 3inch. His body had become more built but not in buff kind of way but more in a compressed sense, His muscles had become taut, his chest broader his shoulder blades had expanded as well. His abs would put even the most seasoned athletes to shame. He could feel the raw power coursing beneath those muscles as if an overpacked suitcase struggling to hold everything inside.
For a few moments he stood blankly looking at his himself in the mirror, when a sudden realization broke him out of his reverie. The changes in him were to otherwordly to explain. It was evident that his adopted family, acquaintances and friends would definitely be shocked and soon he would become a viral internet sensation. Also his incredibly handsome face was sure to bring in lot of troubles with women everywhere he goes. While he was facing such a dilemma his mind reeled to the Myriads Illusion Mask and its description. With a thought in his mind he summoned the mask with anticipation. The Myriad Illusion Mask look like a transparent skinsuit mask. He holding the mask he contemplated for a second and then wore it.
At first he was little shocked to find that his features had not changed at all, but then remembering the description he willed in his mind for the mask to revert to his older appearance. As soon as he gave the mental command, he felt the spiritual energy in him decrease slightly as the mask became active. Troy looked up again at the mirror to assess the change.
He had really changed back to his former appearance with the black hair and black eyes, but still it did not work 100% completely. All his shocking features like the color of his hair and eyes had reverted back, but he still looked slightly handsome than before as the changes due to the overlord physique could not be hidden completely. Also the mask could not do anything to his physique as it remained in its new form. Troy remembered that the mask was called Myriad Illusions and probably was incapable of affecting true mass. He also had a hunch that his overlord physique was too overpowered for the mask itself.
"Well this is better than nothing. Atleast these changes can be still be justified by common sense and won't turn me into an internet celebrity overnight." Troy mused as he made his way back to his bed. Now that Troy was back he was constantly planning on how to utilize these two years that heavens had gifted him before the Great Calamity strikes and the Era of Aura Recovery starts.
"Well the aura on Earth is still too thin, and there are hardly any strong aura reserves left on Earth, but if I remember correctly soon a lot of natural anomalies would occur, that would go unexplained by the global geological society." Troy thought back to the early telltale signs of the Great Calamity. Most scientists ruled this unnatural natural phenomenon as whims of nature, but Troy now understood that those were caused by the suppressed aura trying to leak out. He also remembered about some of the natural locations on Earth that still were undisturbed and had latent aura reserves that would become holy places of cultivation once the era of Aura Recovery starts.
He also knew that these places would be occupied by wealthy families and powerful organizations who would extort the others for entry to these places and countless wars would be fought between humans over these areas that would lead to the decline of human power, and would make humans weak when mutant and alien species would invade in huge numbers.
"Well I definitely have to visit these places and keep an eye out for news of these unnatural phenomenon. Also it will be great if I can encounter some mutant monsters as there meat will be great boost to my physique cultivation. Also I need to push my mental and soul strength so that soul cultivation can grow. Maybe, I should visit some of those haunted places which would give rise to zombies and ghouls. Training against those evil energies would definitely help increase my mental strength and soul defenses."
