Both possessed an unhealthy obsession with it.
Vale knew the best way to control Mias was through his curiosity, a sentiment he would extend to Greed.
Naturally, no matter what knowledge he had, it wasn't enough to pay for the deal in its entirety; however, he could provide it with some extra value.
