I woke up that morning with renewed energy. It wasn't exactly enough to put me on a 10, but it was enough for me to finally decide what to do next with my life. It was time for me to leave the hotel.
For a few seconds, I stayed on my bed, thinking about my next line of action. My life had changed two nights ago, and the only reasonable thing I could do right now, would be to make the most out of it.
I pushed myself out of bed and went straight to the bathroom. I took my time in the shower, I washed my hair, scrubbed my skin, and sang my sorrows away. When I was done, I wrapped a towel around myself and walked out of the bathroom.
I got dressed and started packing.
I folded my clothes carefully, placing them into my suitcase one by one. Tops first. Then trousers. Dresses. Underwear. I packed my shoes in separate bags so they wouldn't dirty anything. I added my books, my laptop, chargers, and a few personal things I couldn't leave behind.
