Chapter 50 - Years Later,

Blair Boyer attacked the ice with full power, the arena spinning into a blur around him. His skates pushed him forward with top-tier force and speed, the kind only the fastest players in the NHL could claim. He was fully aware of his elite ability, and it fueled him. With the puck steady on his stick and cold air burning his lungs, Blair locked his focus on the net ahead, where Leon Bordeleau waited like a coiled trap.

He felt the weight of Bordeleau's stare. The goalie watched every tiny move he made, not the puck. Goalies studied shoulders, wrists, and hips. Small signals. They predicted the future from body language.

That was exactly why Blair knew he would win this little war.
