"Drive to the garage." Max speaks to the driver as we approach the house. There are TV and other media vans all over the place. "It's not normally like this."
"I hope not, that is scary." I slide down lower, the attention we're getting scaring me a little bit.
Max squeezes my hand. "They can't see you. I'll get you inside the house without anyone seeing you."
I trust that he is telling the truth, but that doesn't make it any easier.
Plus, what next? What happens when we're inside the house? Will I have to hide forever?
A buzzing sound makes up both look up and around, then Max pulls a phone from his pocket. "Yeah?" He listens and then nods. "Thanks. Can you get them something to drink? We'll be there soon. And I think we might need to have snacks, I think they'll stay for a while." Then he hangs up and looks at me, an awkward smile on his lips. "It seems you'll meet my parents sooner than expected. They're already at the house."
