"Melissa..."
I remember her, with a bit of inspiration from someone I once knew, someone so obsessed with their lover that their madness frightened me, thus Melissa was born.
However, I didn't make her obsessed with a lover or anyone in particular, I redirected that obsession toward something else.
As a demon, she is deeply curious about humans, and that's the reason she disguises herself as a teacher at Ardenfield.
Observing and studying humans is both her duty and her hobby.
'I'll die soon if she's left alone like that...'
Honestly, I made her worse than that person, but right now I don't know what to do, because I'm overwhelmed just by knowing the plot.
No power, no plan, and no ally I can rely on, no, I just haven't discovered what this body can truly do yet!
I will dissect the potential of this body no matter what.
"Alright everyone, now quickly get changed, and we'll head straight to the training field to practice what I taught you yesterday."
"Yes, ma'am!"
'Wait, practice??? But I don't know anything!'
Melissa clapped her hands twice and immediately warned everyone to change clothes before ten minutes passed.
Hearing that, all the students stood up and went to their respective changing rooms, and I, honestly, was behind the guys, exhausted just from keeping up with them.
Even though some of them looked shorter than me, their stamina was far greater than mine. It's truly unfair how life favors others.
'I entered my own novel, yet why am I not allowed to choose who I possess...'
I also wanted to have cool powers like those main characters in other novels who enter a game or story they read and get a system, or at least some natural talent in using something.
But before I could continue that thought, everyone was almost done changing, and here I was, still confused about what my locker's password was.

"Is everyone here?"
Melissa glanced at the pocket watch hanging around her neck. She looked disappointed at the freshmen who were slightly late.
"You should value the two minutes you've wasted for this."
'Like I care!'
Honestly, I really hate physical training like this, and there's a reason why I made Melissa the survival instructor at the beginning of the story.
'But I can't show my true self too much.'
The real reason is that I don't want to become a sudden kidnapping victim, especially since Melissa could abduct me whenever she wants, which is terrifying.
"If you're late again like this, don't bother apologizing, just add ten more laps for every one minute you're late!"
"!!!"
Everyone shouted in shock at that "alternative" punishment. Impressively, I didn't, I just cursed this damned Melissa in my mind.
Then, without further delay, Melissa blew her whistle, signaling us to start running, and we ran and kept running around this massive field.
'I'm going to die....'
For starters, what was supposed to be 50 laps was now raised to 70 because of the delay.
No wonder the seniors were laughing at us earlier for being late.
Setting that aside, I still couldn't get used to Melissa's constant attention and supervision, it felt like there was a clear malice in her gaze. Even though I wrote her to look like a villain midway through the volume, for me, who knows she is a villain, it's terrifying.
'There's a predator watching us.'
Can I go home? I just want bread and jam.
My bruised body hurt even more, and as expected, I was in the very last position among everyone. From this position, I realized something.
"..."
Melissa's eyes looked extremely sharp now.
And those eyes were fixed on me. Truly terrifying, the chill in her gaze made me push myself to run faster, just to avoid being noticed.
Thankfully, I managed to overtake a few people and ended up in the 34th position out of 36 students in my class.
At last, Melissa's gaze softened again.
With that, I survived today.

My body hurts, hurts so much.
These bruises are my main problem. If not for them, I might've at least reached 30th place.
"Although, I'm not sure if I could really make it that far..."
Class D is actually decent to be in, there's rarely any conflict, people are solid (maybe), and they get really serious when it's time to be serious.
Even though they isolate others sometimes, thankfully it's not bullying. For the record, bullying cases here are quite severe.
I got the inspiration from a neighboring country back on Earth, where bullying got so bad it involved law enforcement. It went viral, and I was so inspired back then, but now I regret it, because I might soon become a victim of bullying myself.
If there is justice in this world, I want to be reborn as a handsome prince with a cheat system that helps me from the moment I wake up in a new world until I become the most overpowered character.
Though in the end, I spent all my overpowering ability on Ethan... I hope he can finish this novel.
And without realizing it, someone was staring at me unsettlingly. Right now, he was standing by the door, sword at his hip, wearing the academy uniform, with black hair.
He looked annoyed by my presence, his eyes truly terrifying. I'd better leave.
"Did you come here to confess again?"
Oh? Talking to himself? Or is there someone behind that door?
"Answer me."
So sad, no response for you?
"Hey..."
I wonder if I can get dinner at the cafeteria...
"Don't ignore me!"

He unsheat the sword so fast
"!!!"
The sword was pointed at Edward's neck. He froze in place, unable to process what was happening.
"Don't deny the result of our duel!"
"Eh...? What are you..."
Before Edward could say anything else, someone began to emerge from the doorway. Her shining white hair and golden eyes gleamed like precious jewels.
A perfectly balanced body for a high schooler, and a soft, gentle voice followed.
"Ronie? What are you doing?"
There was no mistake.
"Saint..."
Saint Solaria.
